It was so fun watching you make your home abit of Heaven on earth. Cleaning and preparing your food, and yes......even catering to Payton some. I love watching you divide and sort your laundry, and washing in in different degrees of temperatures. All is well when you do things like that. It called taking pride. I don’t care to see people jumble their laundry all together and “dump” it in. And your folding of clothes......what a joy to watch!!!! Thank you for such a peaceful video. We need more videos like this in our day and age....even if we didn’t have the coronavirus.

Hi Robin! I am rewatching some favorites this week & this one is definitely a keeper. As an RN, I appreciate your reminder & demo on hand washing. If the Covid pandemic did nothing else, it got people on board with some basic hygiene that is useful for everyday. It’s not just for Covid; flu and colds are also spread by touch as well as respiration, not to mention all the skin infection germs out there so it’s good advice. You stayed calm and carried on-no whining about not going to the mall. Thanks!

Hi Robin - So comforting to see your video. I know a lot of people are saying they are having too much togetherness, I live alone and am really feeling the isolation. However, I am in the high risk group, so my family insists that I stay home and they are good about calling and FaceTiming. They can come if I need them but they don’t want to bring an germs to me. I have everything I need. My church has a begun a ministry to pickup up groceries etc for us older folks but really, I was stocked up when all this started and I plan on ordering HEB curbside when I do begin to need things. I love the care you show your family. God picked the best mama for Payton. Thank you for your video. Truly I loved seeing my friend in Christ this morning.

Hi, Robin! Dinner looks fantastic! I’ve been fortunate because I’m usually home anyway, and I enjoy it. In fact, I’ve been out more than usual to try to get our regular groceries that aren’t on shelves. I’ve been making a trip everyday to see if they’ve restocked yet. I am thankful for all my cleaning supplies and cold medications. I don’t have a huge amount of supplies, but some of my friends have made comments about my pantry and supplies in the past. 😆 I wasn’t one fighting over toilet tissue that’s for sure! I like how Jennifer L. Scott says, “Being prepares is chic”, so I guess I’m chic.😏 I’ve found the little mom and pop stores in our small town to be fully stocked. Thanks for the video!

Thank you for the calming and relaxing video Robin! In Switzerland it first seemed not that strict than what we heard from Austria (where we are originally from) but now I feel like it´s taken more and more "serious", only grocery shops, farmacys and doctors are open right now (allthough it doesn´t affect the work that´s been going on outside of our house - I wish they would stop working there :-D). Schools got closed as well but not all of the kindergardens are closed, just some of them... I am not overly scared but a bit worried with the close boarder to Italy where so many people are sick and even so many people die... but you are right, we cannot loose our hope and trust that everything will be better very soon! Stay safe and healthy, lots of greetings from Zürich!

Positive thinking and a voice of calm. Both my niece's children are autistic so I know that a disturbed routine really throws them out of sync. I hope Payton does well during this time. Is your other son coming home? Here in UK schools are closing except for children whose parents are in the health sector as they will be needed in our hospitals. I feel blessed that we live in a rural area and have a 2 acre garden to be out in. For others it will be harder. My bible reading for today focussed on God is good and it is wonderful to have a friend in Jesus. Thank you for your channel.

Thank you Robin for the video. We are loving staying at home. You have some really useful information. Since we live in a heavily affected area we have a new normal. We check the number of cases and the death toll in our area daily. It is to point now that everyone I know either knows someone with COVID-19 or knows someone who has died from COVID-19. We lean heavily on our faith in the Lord, but I will be honest that sometimes we are gripped by the “what if’s” or fear. I knew this virus was going to be bad because my friends in China were telling me about it. They recommend wearing masks, or scarves, or anything you can to cover your face. They also recommend wearing glasses or sunglasses as well. My friend in China lives in a city of 14 million and they only had 10 deaths. Now they are starting to slowly come out of isolation. They were in isolation for about two months. She said masks are the most important thing in this fight against COVID-19. I hope this helps. Thank you for the uplifting message. It was very timely.

Hi Robin - Thank you for your interesting and informative videos ..here in the UK we are doing similar things . I too appreciate how worrying it is for many but on the positive side it really seems to be bringing communities together.. our road and many other communities have formed online groups offering help with shopping etc to the elderly and less able. I believe that a lot of good things can come out of this situation where we have been forced to pause and focus on the most important things in life. On a lighter note, I notice from watching several KZbin videos that most Americans seem to put their wet washing straight into a drier and not out on a on a washing line to dry. Even here in rainy UK it is common to hang things out to dry in good weather (certainly through all the summer months). Obviously each to their own, but would like to recommend it, as the washing smells so fresh and sunlight is the best stain remover ever plus; of course, good for the planet 🌍🌳🙂

Thank you Denise and I agree completely! We are fortunate to be able to see the best in people when bad situations come about. As far as hanging laundry, Americans do rely on their dryers! Many newer neighborhoods do not allow laundry to be hung outside, although I imaging that will change as people realize the environmental benefits. Where we lived previously I hung all of our clothes to dry outside and loved it. Here we have tons of dust and wind and so our clothes would be dirty just by doing that. I dry the majority of our clothes indoors, with the exception of our socks, underwear and undershirts, simply because I don't have the space. I miss that sun-dried scent! I hope that you and your family are doing well! God Bless! 💛😊💛

Also, does the law in Texas require that everyone be confined and quarantined ? Here in France, we cannot go out unless for groceries or walking around the block.
@FaithandFlour4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mary! Right now there is not a law requiring everyone to stay at home, they have requested that everyone comply. Where we are most people seem to be taking things seriously. Most stores are closed, except for grocery, pharmacies and gas stations. People are free to walk outside, but most avoid contact and try to stay at least 6ft. away as advised. Some restaurants and grocers are offering delivery, so I think that is becoming very popular. 💚🌸💚

Faith and Flour that is good. Here hospitals have to decide which person they are going to heal.... we don’t have enough medical supplies or beds for people and the hospital staff is overwhelmed. I pray everyday for my neighbors (Italy).

Thank you! I wash all of my E-Cloths in the machine together, but not with other laundry. They will pick up the lint from other laundry which will cause them to become ineffective. I use hot water and then I either hang them to dry or put them in the dryer on medium heat. I wash them once a week and that's it! They come out clean and ready to go. I hope you and your family are well. God bless! 💛😊💛

Hi Robyn I enjoy watching your videos particularly when I need motivation to clean! Just curious I lived in Canada for a couple of years in the 1980’s and was introduced laundry North American style where the dryer is used all the time to dry clothes. I live in Australia where we have lots of sun so 80-90% of drying happens outside on a clothes line especially in the summer and transition seasons. I use the dryer minimally because I live in a sunny climate and even in the winter I mostly dry clothes on a rack inside near the fireplace. For environmental reasons I use the dryer as little as possible which I realise is not typical in the US. Living in a sunny climate like you do I am interested in your thoughts on this subject.
@FaithandFlour4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! This is a question that I am asked very often. Most Americans do rely on their dryers - it's true. Some neighborhoods don't permit hanging laundry out to dry, but I am hopeful that might change as people become more and more environmentally conscious. Where we lived previously I hung all of our wash outside, (weather permitting) and I miss that. Where we live now I hang most things inside to dry except socks, underwear and undershirts - because we don't have the space. Our climate is dry, dusty and windy, so hanging clothes outside would only result in clothes that need to be re-laundered. I hope that you and your family are well! God bless! 💛😊💛

We self isolated 2.5 weeks ago (I’m in Brisbane, Australia). I only leave the house every 11 days to buy grocery essentials. I pulled my son out of kindergarten early as my husband is able to work at home over this period. It’s very hard to buy rubbing alcohol to make disinfectants so I have had to resort to methylated spirits. Thankfully my essential oils help mask the smell. At our chemists all the asthma inhalers and kids paracetamol etc has sold out. We usually have a healthy stock of inhalers, cold medicines etc so we are ok.

Hi there Robin 😊🖐, I love your videos, and this one especially for several reasons. Just one question if I may. I notice in your kitchen, the glow of a blue object with steam coming from it. Is that a vaporizer or a humidifier? Hubby and I are in the process of researching which one would be best for us. Since I suffer regular bouts of Sinusitis, and medicine getting harder to get over here in Western Australia, because of extra purchasing. Would you mind sharing information about how you use yours, if you use essential oils or not. My hubby has learned that one of them can only take special oils made for it , whilst the other one you can use whatever essential oil you choose , such as Eucalyptus or Tea Tree in my case. Maybe you could do a little "how to" using yours ? I don't know. Just an idea. We desperately need one or the other, and would love to know what you have and how it's been for you. Thanks so much, and please stay well. Once again, loving your very motivating, and inspiring videos. Warm Christian love to you all from across the 🌏 ocean. 🙏🌼🌹💜

It is so good to hear from you and I'm glad you are doing well. An essential oil diffuser like mine can be found in my Amazon Store in the Home section: www.amazon.com/shop/faithandflour It is a very simple and affordable one. You can use any type of essential oil you choose along with water. I will be talking about essential oils again in an upcoming video, so I will try to do a little demonstration of how it works. Thank you for your question and feedback! God bless! 💛😊💛

@@FaithandFlour Oh, thank you so much for that much already! That is good to know that we are able to order something affordable from your shop. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I really do love your videos, and have to say my favorite parts are when you show us your Bible reading routine. That's especially encouraging for me. I was reading the amount each day to complete the Bible at the end of this year, and then at the beginning of February I got sick a few days in bed. It derailed me. I'm so far behind now. I'm still reading a chapter a day, but I'm disappointed, and trying to pick up momentum to try and somehow catch up. Do you ever get behind with your own Bible reading schedule? 🙏📖💜

Hi Robin, I've purchased almost all the ingredients for the powdered home made laundry soap from your recipe & notice here that you have liquid laundry soap. Is there a reason you stopped using the home made powder laundry soap? tks

Hi Josette! I haven't stopped using it, I just like to switch back and forth. I do find that the powder works best in hot or warm water, so I tend to use the liquid for the cold wash, but this time I just wanted to use the liquid to have a different scent. 🤷♀️😁I know it's weird, but it mostly depends on my mood! I hope that you like it if you give it a try! I hope you are doing well! God bless! 💛😊💛
