You look great in everything, but I guess I just don't see the need to change out so many items in a wardrobe so often. I'm not a clothes person, but I also wouldn't want to wear cashmere or silk (as luscious as they are) bc they're too elegant for my lifestyle. I just want fabrics I can wear for household tasks or the grocery store. (Plus I live in Phoenix where it's still over 100, LOL.) Seems like you must still have clothes from previous seasons and years that would be perfectly good, and far less expensive. Maybe it's bc I'm not a clothes person.

I love all of the pieces in your winter wardrobe. I always think I will add a print or two to my mostly solid pieces, but wear them usually only 1 season and declutter. I agree that solid colors are easier to mix and match.

I’m finding that I’m slowly moving away from patterns in my wardrobe for the same reason as you- I get bored with the print. All of your outfit choices are beautiful! How do you decide where to invest your money when it comes to different pieces? You always have a nice mix of affordable and high end pieces. Have you tried the Quince cashmere sweaters?

Everything looks great on you. I prefer solid colors and geometric patterns. My upper body overheats while my legs freeze at the same time. I'm allergic to most synthetic fabrics. My style is Bohemian and Eclectic.

Hi Robin! Thanks for having thought of us who are in autumn right now (colder autumn!) and are planning this season’s wardrobe, and need inspiration! You asked about our opinion on patterns, so here is a little testimony! Last year, I decided on an impulse to go back to a style of clothing I used to love but have stopped wearing, which consists of bold patterns and colors, mostly florals. A strange thing happened. Although I loved my new clothes on the hanger, when I put them on and looked at myself in the mirror, I thought that I looked like an old woman, but I didn’t know why (I am in my 60’s). (I try to keep this comment short, so I don’t give all the details, but I need to say that I don’t mean to judge myself or anyone else based on age and what is appropriate to wear - or not! - according to this criteria!) As time went on, I regretted my impulse buying, as I didn’t feel good wearing these clothes. One day, I put on a classic outfit that I found in the back of my wardrobe, a navy skirt with a simple white top, and when I saw myself in the mirror, I was pleased with what I saw! The lesson for me: classic style suits me best! This year, I have to rebuild my wardrobe entirely, and I will choose classic pieces mainly in solid colors. I also love patterns like stripes, polka dot, and the occasional florals! Your capsule wardrobe with classic and simply elegant items is a wonderful source of inspiration for me! You look so good in everything you modeled! I love the pale pink on you, and the grey-green shirt brings out your eyes! I wish you colder days so that you can wear what you showed us! Hi sweet Robin, I can’t believe I’m so late getting to see this video. I got on a big long phone call with my brother about politics of all things. He has one point of view and I have another. We are very civil but it always ends at the same so why even discuss it. Ha ha. First of all let me say I am so jealous of your figure. I have gained weight over the last year that I am having so much trouble getting rid of. I just about alwaysI have a Weight problem but sometimes it’s worse than others. I think you’ve made a really good selection for your winter wardrobe. I was so wishing it was cooler when I got ready for church this morning I have so much more to choose from when the weather is cooler. I went to church extremely casual but did not feel out of place because everybody else was pretty much casual too. My age group dresses up a little more than the rest of the church but I noticed we’re all getting more casual by the day which I think is great. I do see a need for classic solid colors. But, I am a sewist and make all my clothes. I love fabric with patterns and colors! And I do love florals even though I hear all the time that older women (I’m 70) shouldn’t wear them! Like you said, wear what you are comfortable in and what makes you happy and feel pretty! I love the pink bag. I, too, am hoping to limit my purchases to more of a manageable amount. Bags are so expensive and these purchases definitely need to be functional and fashionable. Don't wash bath towels &floor mats and bedsheets together

It's time for me to make the next batch of laundry soap , I'll try your recipe. I like to use the Rose scented Dr. Bronner's for mine. If you don't want to use the grating attachment, then do the fine grating again, I usually cut the soap into chunks, then just use the chopping part and chop the soap that way, it could be done all at once instead of going back again. Just a suggestion 😊

The room looks nice....Media room definitely a good idea. The sectional is a beautiful color but because the room is so big you’ll can definitely can take advantage of more pieces added to the sectional or a much bigger sectional. You want the whole family plus guest and future grandkids 😊during the holidays to comfortably hang out there and have a sit. The Tv is a good size or you can go with a huge projector screen. A huge electric fireplace under the Tv would cozy up the space so much and just be beautiful in this space. Good job🌸. We are in our mid-eighties and I am just starting this. Some areas are way more difficult than others, but I am seeing progress as huge storage areas are getting cleared out and the empty spaces are so calming! As a knitter, sewer and crafter these areas are more difficult, but I am slowly letting things go as I become more honest with myself and KNOW I will never live long enough to use all the yarn and or make all the projects I would like to. SOOO…..onward and forward. Be brave. Be strong. Be persistent…….and you will soon be free of all that flotsam and jetsam of life!
