For anyone wonder I haven't cleaned my ps4 since 2015 (that's when I got it) and today was the first time I cleaned it, now there's no noise, fans are spinning quietly, and it's as good as new! Id rate the difficulty of this a 1.5 out of 5 only because people seem to have an issue with the prying (which I did too for like 30 seconds), what I did was use a prying tool but I know a lot of people don't have that so I reused a flathead screwdriver and it worked just as well. It's a bit scary cause you think something is going to break but there were no issues whatsoever.

good video; one thing to note is static electricity can kill components quickly. typically electronic savvy folks use alcohol and q-tips to clean areas beyond the air can (as canned air is treated as anti static) Alcohol provides very little residue during the cleanup and swabbing with a 150 pack of q-tips is affordable. THE SWIFFER CAN BE A BAD TOOL! Not many are made for anti static and electrical usage. Understand it takes less than 5v of electrical energy to fry an IC (integrated circuit) or chip as most know them. Majority run on less then a volt of DC power and more run on mV. Applaud you for the detail of your video.

Now for clipping all of it back in, I struggled for an hour clipping it from the back…so I instead clipped the front carefully, since he likely says clips the back first bc of the sensitive parts, so pretty much don’t let it sit on those patts. After I clipped the front, I somehow clipped the back first try.

Some tips, I have opened up my PS4 twice in 2 years. Everything he said it pretty much how to do it, except when taking off the bottom panel. You don't need some plastic spatula of sorts, just use a knife (carefully lol). More importantly, start from the BACK of the PS4, NOT the MIDDLE. Not that it'll damage it or anything, but it's incredibly more fastidious to do it from the middle because you will be fighting against the front AND back plastic notches. So using a knife to pry from the sides of the console panel towards the very back will work wonders. Hope this helps.

@@alialfakih5820 no sadly I have to take it entirely apart and clean under the motherboard and clean the fan better and the thermal paste has wore off so I have to update that as well

Second top piece was waaay harder for me to remove… Recommend using a prying tool under the corner, that did it for me. Otherwise great video, especially that it showed the model I have which isn’t shown in any other video I searched.

Thank you so much for this video!! A lot of the other videos are of the older model, so when I sat down to clean it and saw the screws in different places I was very confused, but then I came across your video and it was perfect! My ps4 runs so much quieter now I can’t thank you enough!
