Awesome! I used some kapton tape to hold the amp in place while soldering. It worked great, but learn from my mistake, guys. Pretin your solder points before you tape down your amp! LOL, didn't think that one through.

You got Crazy sounds and problems with the Display if you use it with a LED Glow kit. Both of them go to the 3,6v VCC Pin

I got this done and boy was it frustrating.. i spent probably 3 hours trying but i finally got it thanks for the vid it did help but mabie if you show how to make the spots where you tapped them i couldnt get it to stick.

Another quick question. Does this support both left and right audio channels? I've read that some games mix the channels separately, and you may only get one channel's audio when using some amps. Not really worried about headphones, just that the speaker is playing everything it should. Looking at grabbing 2 from handheld legend if so. Also, as a side question, any idea if Handheld Legend is getting a restock on your GBC Amp?

my gba sp ags-101 does not have the VOL or Ground connections on its C/AGT-ECPU-01. Any ideas how to approach this installation?

Solder the VOL to middle pin of vol wheel. Ground can be any ground you like

The new speaker you mentioned in the end (though you said it won't be a speaker per se), what's going to be better about it (other than fitting the SP without modifications, I assume)? I don't particularly love the replacement 1W speaker you sell right now because I think it sounds less full/more tinny than the stock speaker, so I'm hoping you have something better on the way :) EDIT: also, if it's a better speaker, would they work on other GameBoys?

Better sound, better range, longer lifespan. Will cost few £ more than standard ones but should be worth it. Will work in all consoles but no need if console has the space having this kind of special speaker it's for super tight spaces

How much does this impact battery life?

Depends how loud you turn it up. If as loud as original then it's less battery draw. But full loudness will obviously drain it a little faster

@@RetroSix Awesome, so it’s more efficient at similar volume levels. I thought it would be the opposite since the original amp is still in the circuit. Does the original somehow shutdown when your flex is soldered in? Thanks for the reply!

The IC doesn't draw power operating it is when the speaker is driven it draws current. The way the old amp drives the speaker is less efficient
