Thank you so much! I had an error B200 and it said I needed it repaired, and thought well it's 5 years old so maybe I need to buy a new one (something I really cant afford to do right now). I followed your video, cleaned the print head under running hot water until it ran clear and it works perfectly now! no more error code. You are a lifesaver! I cant thank you enough.

Lots of things you need to know as an owner of Canon printers you don't get from manuals or from Canon's website at all. Good to have people like you around, and thanks for the info.

After a couple of days of browsing other videos of how to fix your printer when it is just printing a blank sheet, I came across this video. Other videos said to deep clean the nozzles in the maintenance section blah, blah, blah. Nothing worked. Came here and did exactly what you said...and bingo...all working again. Although he doesn't say it, don't worry about getting the contacts wet as it pretty much dries straight away after you have finished flushing the head. Though obviously do check there is no water!!! Also to get the head unit in the position you need to safely remove it, press the button below the power for about 5 seconds and it will automatically put the head in the correct position for removing the head unit.

This has done the Job !! I left the print head dry overnight and cleaned all the contacts, this for me was an important step. This saved for me the purchase of another printer, so grateful for this instructional video.

Never remove this demo! It was most helpful, informative and easy to follow! I'm using this printer as part of a photobooth for my children's party. Only a few days before the big day and it decides it doesn't want to print black!!!! I went online and found other demos and reasons as to why it's not printing black but yours was the most clear and concise. I did as you said and there you have it... IT'S PRINTING BLACK AGAIN. Needless to say I am over the moon. Thank you so much! You saved the day 😉

Thank you for taking the time to make and post this video. I had tried all other methods to correct the printer from printing totally blank pages, including removal and reinstallation of software and drivers. Since the pages were completely blank and it had been used less than a month ago I had concluded that it must be the print head and was about to purchase a new one/printer. Following your advice it is fully restored. Thanks again.

Worked today om my IP7250 thank you - its about 3 years old and suddenly had this fault. Followed what you suggested and boom worked first time - Thank you - So pleased not to have loud music and flashing lights all over the video. The only extra thing it to remind us to close the DVD flap which stumped me for a few minutes - Great advice !

The print head on the MG6350 is A LOT harder to remove and to re-insert, but thanks to this excellent video, I had the confidence to persevere. I've turned the printer on and off and it seems fine..... I'll just wait till tomorrow to try printing. Fingers crossed! Thanks.

thank you for this video, I was able to recover my 10 year old printer that wasn't used for the last 6 years. One comment though, the printhead itself is glued on the white plastic plate. This plate is fixed with two small screws. To even better clean the head, remove the screws and the white plate. Behind it is a small gray rubber layer. This can also be removed to clean. Having the white plate removed gives access to the conducts that lead to the cartridges (on the black part) and the ones that go straight to the printhead (on the white plate). Spray alcohol on both and rinse them with hot water as you said, several times. Reassemble the whole in reverse order and use new cartridges as cleaning out the water will take some running of the cleaning option and waste some ink. I had a B200 error (obviously because of the clogged head, printer has less than 500 pages printed), this solved it.

Thank you so much for this! Worked a treat on my ip7520. I have to say it didn't work straight away.. I did have to clean the rubber pads a few times (as recommended in the comments) and replace a cartridge (must've been the one causing the blockage) but it's working now, yay! I dread to think how many printers get thrown away without this kind of advice readily available.

Thank you saved me a new printer was about to launch it in wheelie bin, tried this and it's cured. Its worth noting that I also used a syringe and tube to force hot water through Magenta which was completely blocked. I was surprised just how easy it was to remove the head and the way it took an abuse of very hot water! Credit to Canon for having the foresight to know it will need a clean and making it accessible, first Canon after numerous Epson's packed up nice to know this will last.

I also had the same problem - after deep cleaning there was no single drop on paper!! So I used this method and it recovered but not fully - barely half of the lines were printed and the text was not readable. So I dismounted head again and used more aggressive approach. I used 2 syringes (2ml + 5ml) and hose that fitted into syringe nozzle. Joined both syringes together by hose and filled with water. 2ml was without piston. Then I pushed open end of 2ml syringe towards head printer rubber sealing and pushed 5ml syringe piston to push the water slowly through the print head nozzles. It was clearly visible where the water flows through the nozzles and which ones are blocked. Then I tapped over the printhead nozzle with my finger (used thin surgical like rubber gloves - cleaned well before starting to tap - dont use bare finger you could block the nozzle with some skin particles) to unblock nozzles - I watered the surface frequently with clean water. I did it few minutes over both nozzle areas (1 long black and 5 shorter ones) and then try to use syringes againg - this time nearly all nozzles free. So I repeated tapping again over blocked areas and this time it was OK - water flowed through all nozzles. The I cleaned everything with distilled water, removed excessive water, dry out using hairdryer mounted in and it printed without single flaw.

Thank you so much for this vid - it was the only thing that worked. I have a Canon ip7250 edible printer and it stopped printing black. I did a nozzle check and the print off had no PGBK. After several hours troubleshooting and trying to find a resolution I came across this vid. I removed the head, washed it under the hot water tap, popped it back in after 10 mins & it was printing black immediately - I was so relieved. Thanks again.

Thanks for the video! It worked like a champ on my MG6120. I was only having problems with the large black cartridge. Like others have posted it took a while to clear all of the ink under the tap. Thanks for posting this..excellent instruction. I had error B200, and the first time I tried your method it didn't work. I then tried it again, but washed it much more thoroughly and I took the 5 rubbers out the cartridges sit on. I reassembled it much later that day and it worked....great...then I remembered I hadn't put the rubbers in so took it apart again and put rubbers in, and now I get error B200 back! I need to fiddle with this a bit more but I'm wondering if the rubbers getting old maybe are the problem.

If I don't have ANY errors and my cartridges are full or mostly full but paper comes out with NO ink on whatsoever, regardless of what i print, is that a knackered print head ? (sorry, I dont use edible ink bit this video was very helpful in getting the print head out). Clear as day! Which is how we'd all like our print heads to stay! You suggest pushing the head manually after unplugging while switched on - presumably to avoid head-lock (ha!) when switched off normally. Does anyone know if this is safe for the printer, physically + electronically, or if it might damage performance? - since my ip7250 complains on screen when I do this (although doesn't stop me or explain the risk). Thx from Stephen, UK

i'm sorry that i bought a canon ip7250,compared to my epson it is lacking 80% on printing on dvd, i can not fault the quality of the printing, but you can not put 2 or 3 images on to a single disc and crop pictures like you can with a epson, you can take a square picture and add rectangles and circles and coulor them on a epson not so with this canon, may bee this is why so many of them are available on line as factory returns.
