Hi, I got one of your ultra sonic cleaners. I was wondering, a lot of people either use demineralized water or distilled water or deionized water (plus isopropyl alcohol and some photo cleaner) where is the difference? What should I use? I'd just use destilled water if I had to guess. Or can I really *just* use tap water with no extra fluids?

Yes. Ultrasonic machines are far, far better than vacuum ones.

@@MoChua I find the record vacuum cleaners e.g record doctor didn't improve any of my albums at all, I just never felt like the cleaning process was getting into the grooves when applying the solution

@@ajmoore2201 I had 4 machines at one time: an okki, a vpi for vacuums and a dyi ultra and a friend lent me his degritter for a couple of months. IMO, the ultras cleaned a whole lot better than the vacuums. Hands down. I sold the okki and vpi and I now use a diy ultra and spin clean. Happy with them.

@@ajmoore2201 I never make a large batch to keep. I only make it to use when I needed to because the alcohol and the surfactant can dry out where I am from due to the hot, tropical weather (Manila). I just use the standard combination of mostly distilled water (90%), 2-3 caps of 70% (at least) isopropyl alcohol and a cap and half or two of the photoflo in a 2 liter bottle. If you live in a colder part of the US, leftovers can be stored far longer. You'd know it anyway if the solution has gotten "stale" from storage once you use it.
