How just how did you get the background to stay so white?! Great vid btw!

I've just acquired a second-hand Flex 34 - really like it, but my fish desperately missed the aeration from my previous tank's decent filter. I've trawled the net and cannot find any adaptation of the water outflow to cater for venturi. So I bought a very small and cheap internal filter which does have a venturi air line, and I run this together with the Fluval-supplied pump. I have today contacted Fluval UK enquiring why there is no venturi connection available for the Flex - awaiting response. BTW, my tank is at bedside so on-surface water sound is not desirable!

Good video, I enjoyed it. Your voice is exactly like George Farmer's, very calming.

How do you clean the back white part?
@junodonatus49063 жыл бұрын
Exactly! That's the real issue with these tanks. It's impossible to scrub off and no matter how much one actually manages to scrape of, some always remains and makes the background look dirty and unappealing in appearance. Aside from that flaw, this is a great tank. I bought one for my daughter's room in white, which goes so well with her white colored/weathered wood bedroom furniture. Unfortunately, the white plastic background of the tank gets ugly after a while and ruins the appearance of the tank. I'm thinking of simply replacing the tank with one that has only glass sides. Lesson learned.

Great video mate really helps me with my fluvial flex..... Is there any way I can get dirt out of the back sections of the tank without using a syphon?

Brilliant, really glad it helped! I don't think so. Siphoning is the best way I think.

Dosing with seachem flourish excel will help with the algae and lower how long the light is on I use necrew timer set for 7 hours

Thanks Allen. I try to avoid dosing liquid Carbon if at all possible, it is toxic to fish and some plants. But is useful for killing stubborn black algae. 🙂

@@riverwoodaquatics7028 indeed but a very small does won't harm your fish in fact they have very little co2 in them I have been measuring co2 levels after 12 hours of light just above water line and seems the same but great video well presented

Same. The white background shows everything up and is impossible to remove everything off it

@@greg0uk yep, the white background is a nightmare! Really struggling to keep it clean, was hoping I’d find some magic tips online but nothing yet
