Cleaning A Thrift Store Rainbow Brite Doll!

Hey my beautiful friends! I recently found a beautiful Rainbow Brite doll at a local thrift store, and I wanted to showcase how fun it is to rescue thrifted/second hand dolls. I had a blast cleaning and fixing this cutie up! What did you think of her before & after?
This video was not meant to be a tutorial or much of a transformation or makeover video. I basically just wanted to recommend fixing and saving dolls from thrift stores! It is really satisfying!

She's adorable! She looked so much better after you'd cleaned her up - her hair particularly looked so much nicer and neater. I think 3.99 is a pretty good price considering she has her original outfit on (except for the bracelets). She will definitely look lovely in your collection. Congrats!

Oh Em Gee!!! Rainbow Brite was all the rage during the era my sister and I were from (my sister was born in 1983 and I was born in 1985), and I remember we used to have a Rainbow Brite coin bank. I recall my parents getting my sister a Cabbage Patch Kids Preemie doll when she was two or three. The doll got lost, but not her birth certificate, which we gave to my sister when visiting her in Texas in 2018 as a memento of her childhood along with other old things my parents found. A year ago I found some Rainbow Brite coloring pages at the official Crayola site which you can print up and color at your own leisure (I think they're based upon the Rainbow Brite Netflix show), and I printed a page of Rainbow Brite herself. The other day while watching a video and before the actual video started, I saw an ad for Mermaze dolls that MGA makes, and the line looks interesting. I decided to give the online site a look-see of the dolls, and they are sooo lovely. But for right now, I'm awaiting a Tails (from Sonic the Hedgehog 2) plushie from Build-A-Bear Workshop which my mom had to order for me. Yeah, I saw the second Sonic the Hedgehog movie in the movie theater over a week ago...and then that night I was sick with the stomach flu. As if that was bad enough, my father got COVID the Friday before Easter, and then on Monday, my mom told me she had the COVID as well (ARGH!). So I'm gonna patiently wait for the Tails plushie, and possibly make a video of when he does arrive. I liked that Rainbow Brite after you cleaned her and such! -Andrea

I honestly don’t know much about Rainbow Brite! But I do know that she is very iconic and that many people love collecting Rainbow Brite items/toys. I immediately fell in love with this doll. What a cutie! I recently bought a couple of thrift store dolls too! I think they’re both Disney Princesses. Maybe I’ll try conditioning their hair too! It definitely needs it 😅
