I find cleaning it out with a small paint brush and vacuum. Also taking the screws out on the back side opens up the heat sink and back of fan 👍🏻

It vents on the short side. Take off the cover, then there is a diffuser that can be removed and cleaned, as well as the top of the fan. From here you can see the cooling fins and can clean them. Usually there is a lot of buildup here. Replacement of the fan can be done here as well.

Q-tip with mild solvent (water) should help for cleaning deeper in fan. Cheers

Ah cool! I wasn't sure and didn't want to break anything. It's just a friction fit in?
