Hi Susie! I 100% recommend an air purifier. It was a massive game changer for my allergies and asthma. You need to make sure you get one that’s big enough though - those little desktop ones aren’t going to be useful for anything larger than a closet. I got an innova air (they’re an Aussie company!) air purifier for my bedroom. I also got sheet and pillow protectors and switched to sensitive laundry liquid. After that my very bad allergies pretty much disappeared and my asthma got heaps better! The air purifier is so effective that someone can be doing their nails in the lounge room and if I’m in the bedroom with the door closed I would not even know cause you wouldn’t be able to smell it at all. Highly highly recommend air purifiers for everyone.

Hey Susie! I’m an environmental science major, and I just wanted to pop on here to suggest keeping all of your appliances like toasters, blenders, and tea kettles unplugged when not in use. Even when we’re not using an appliance, having it plugged in still uses energy (we call it vampire energy), and adds onto your electricity bill. You can also save the seeds from the head of your flower bouquets and grow your own! They can also be composted anywhere that accepts yard waste! Okay lmao that’s all the info dumping that I have to offer

Hi I live in the UK and we can turn the outlet off using a switch while keeping the device plugged in does this do the same is completely unplugging it?
@jillianharringtonperkins6 ай бұрын
@@cerysmorgan5810 Yes I believe so! I'm in the US, so I'm not familiar with having outlets that can be controlled with a switch, but from your description, I think turning the switch off would be the same as completely unplugging everything

Honestly starting off the video opening up about the roaches is so real. Pretty much all houses have roaches but people just don’t realize, and you are considered “dirty” if you have them. So love that 😁

Cockroaches are a fact of life in QLD. Its normal to maybe see 1 or 2 in summer but if you keep seeing them or you see little ones as well you should probably get a pest person in. The joys of a tropical location. Loved this vlog, love a good declutter!

Cleaning routines in places like Europe and America are very interesting. I was interested in the fact that they cleaned the whole house with wet wipes and things like that. In the countries where I live, a deeper cleaning is done, the floors are wiped with bleach and floor cleaning detergents, we use separate detergents for dusting or wiping windows. Wet wipes are generally used to quickly clean children with jammed hands or to wipe your work desk superficially. Don't get me wrong, I didn't write it to compare, I just noticed that it differs from country to country, the world is truly full of many different cultures.
@kraesmom16 ай бұрын
There are still plenty of us in the US that only use antibacterial wipes for disinfecting items that need a quick wipe but still do MOST cleaning with a spray product or bucket of cleaning solution and a rag. I have cotton cloths for basic cleaning and microfiber for windows and things that need buffed/shined (appliances).

As someone who also fluctuates in weight a bit, you don't have to get rid of everything. Contrary to what a lot of people say, we can keep things that doesn't it us anymore, do store them away tho. They shouldn't be in your everyday rotation until you actually change size. I've made the mistake of getting rid of so many favorites (both in bigger and smaller sizes) because they didn't fit me, only to return to that size a year or two later hand being forced to buy new clothes (well, second hand, but new to me). And just to be clear, this is not a case of "I'll go on a diet in hope of my clothes fitting me again" this is purely a practical, logistic solution that also happens to be more sustainable. If you're fairly certain you won't be that weight again, you can go ahead and get rid of them tho.

I like the hack of making an additional bin of “time will tell” put stuff in there you’re not sure to get rid of, set a time frame- if you don’t open it or look for something say 6 months/ 1 year (if it’s seasonal) then you don’t need it and it can go!

You are just so relatable (maybe that's partially because you are from aus and I am just across the ditch in NZ)! but it is also so nice to watch someone my age that is at the same stage of life! I really love that you show the happy moments but also show when you aren't feeling that great and normalising that sometimes that is the reality of life. You are such a bubbly and motivating person I always feel like going for a run or doing some fitness after watching your videos or in this case doing some cleaning! Your humour is also 10/10💕

Oh my god girl you crack me up! Super relatable and down to earth. You got a new subbie here and made a new friend from Wisconsin ❤ Giving us all the motivation we could need 💪🏻 honestly I liked that it took you x amount of days because then I got to see you in all ya cute fits! It's the part about having to clean the house regularly yes is a drag but so needed and worth it! Forming good habits is hard and unrealistic sometimes but one thing I've picked up from people cleaning and decluttering is like a 5 minute method where you focus on a space for just 5 minutes and pretty much do a quick clean. They say we get distracted and when we start putting things back in their original space (from starting space) we tend to start cleaning that place and the focus is just to remain on that one place. And eventually keep picking new places when you start another 5 minutes. Warm wishes ❤

That’s what I do to boxes that I love and want to keep as free storage options.
