People with class and elegance and higher standards appreciate gloss black. Think rolls Royce, maybach customers. It’s the trailer park crowd that drinks wine out of a paper cup and has spam for dinner that can’t appreciate gloss black interiors.

@@Mabeylater293why’d you take it so personally?
@derbigpr5002 ай бұрын
@@Mabeylater293 The issue is there's a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIG difference between piano black wood, and gloss black plastics. This is why gloss black became popular, because luxury cars used it, but luxury cars used real wood, that was pained with a deep black base color and then coated with a thick layer of clear coat and polished to perfection. That gives it a deep really dark shine. The gloss black plastics which you can find in all cars today is just gloss black plastics, it has no clear coat on it (usually, in some more expensive premium cars it does but still isn't as good as real piano black), and it's not even black. If you shine a light on it, it has no deep shine, and it looks grey or even brownish. Point is, real piano black trim looks really good and expensive. Black gloss plastic looks cheap. Same as real wood trim with a deep gloss on it looks expensive, and plastic fake wood trim looks really cheap. Now the spam eating trailer park crowd you're speaking about is actually the reason why all cars have this cheap trim in them nowadays, because they can't tell it looks cheap and bad, and they can't tell it's a fake version of what it's supposedly representing.

During a raining day, I forgot passengers windows half opened. Droplets on gray plastic of air conditioner and door stained.... I tried with alcool but the are there....

Hi. You can use any light polish or all in one polish for interior gloss parts. Something like 3D Speed works well with a soft foam applicator. For plastics you may just have to use a leather cleaner and brush and then use a water based dressing on the plastics.

I made the mistake by using the small brush on the end of my small portable vaccuum cleaner, for several months i had no problem it cleaned the dust away and looked crystal clear around the switches. Towards a year of having the car i've started to notice minor scratches which is stopping the piano black plastic from popping out like it used to. I then started to use just a microfibre cloth but that just ended up sticking all the dust into the switches 🤮. My OCD can't take it, so i'm going to try out some of your solutions.

Use a soft bristle brush. (Only use it for this purpose) and lightly dust it while holding a vacuum next to it to suck up the dust kicked up by the light brush. The brush won’t scratch.

What’s your trick to sell a coating to a customer? What I mean is, how do you not over sell it but offer it? I don’t want to be like it’s scratch proof like I have seen many detailer a do
@MirandaDetailing4 жыл бұрын
Good question. I’m really honest about coatings and usually a customer who wants one will already know a little about them. But you’re right, I tell them that coatings are not bullet proof and they don’t offer actual scratch resistance or bug and sap resistance. I do tell them that it is an great investment. It makes the paint much easier to clean and maintain, and offers great water and dirt repellency. I usually start with an entry level 1 year coating like Gyeon One.

Thanks. Actually anything will make that soft black finish. It’s going to get messed up over time anyway. You could use those super soft brushes if you like also.
