We used to use a Storm Vulcan, which worked on the same principle. Incredibly nice for cleaning parts before rebuilding an engine or transmission.

The comment about the coin op version at parts stores is a very sound idea, I don't have a spare 8 grand laying around to buy this for the occasional part that needs deep cleaning.

you know why I like a guy like leno because he started out humble and worked his ass off to become who he is today. he wasn't born with a sliver spoon in his mouth and it shows because he still has the humbleness to him even to this day.

Exactly like this machines should be, just a very few buttons and dials and nothing else, I hate those kind of things with touchscreens with 1001 functions which you will never use.

There are a few reasons, but the main reason in this case is that the water is very hot and evaporates off the parts before it can do any real damage.

This isn't really for someone restoring cars out of his garage. It is powered by 240 volt 3-phase, so you aren't plugging it into your dryer outlet. That is actually a pretty reasonable price for a piece of industrial equipment like this.

I worked for a place that bought the same size and model washer from Better Engineering, new in 2008. It was a lot of problems, right from new. I am an mechanical engineer and worked in maintenance. Problems included basket drive chain (bad design), sprockets mis-aligned, motor mount welded crooked, table bearing fell apart, contact relay melted, holes mis-drilled in cover panels, new control board, leaking pump seal. Shotty design and workmanship, like the company did not care. Beware!
