Diane, you have a lovely (& clean) kitchen. I love the minimal look & no cupboards up top. It makes it look so open & airy. And I am really liking the way your drawers open...so much space. Beautiful!! You always look so well put together, fresh & almost glamorous. Your really doing a super job. Keep on fighting the good fight!!

Ok I never thought I'd start looking forward to Monday's but I get it now. It IS a fresh start. I wipe away all my checkmarks from the last week and look at a blank slate, a new zone, a chance to do better than before. When I first started watching your videos and you talked about loving Monday's so much, I thought, "well she's marching in a parade of one." Lol. But now I'm marching right behind ya!

Hi Diane, don't throw away the magic erasers! They are super useful for several special purposes: for example when you have a scratch mark on your white walls or door frames - or when you want to remove the residues of cling film from a surface that you cannot scrub hard. You use them damp on the surface and like an eraser they crumble away. This has helped me so much on newly painted walls and removing leftover cling film from posters from the doors. They are not made for scrubbing your pots and pans though.

Good morning Diane! So lovely to see you, you lift my day 💐 . I've done some of my MR today but I've sat and watched you in my PJs with the remainder of my breakfast cuppa as I'm about to jump in the shower...it's been a nice change about....promise I'll dress to shoes 99% of mornings! 😊 Moving on from the massive rejig of my journal, I spent some time at the weekend decluttering my recipe folder by taking the recipes I use most and laminating them (thus decluttering a load of laminating pouches from the office too!) It means I have a cookery binder and a blank recipe book to go off to the charity shop, a binder full of useful wipe clean recipes AND a pile of recipes that will be going into my Hygge Christmas journal....GO ME! 🏃♀️✨✨✨ This week will be the first week using my new journal layout, I delved in and out last week in-between re-organising it but got so much more done than usual as it is now all on one page! 🦾 Will be looking into tea towel fundraisers for the school, we only have 20 pupils so we are like a close knit family, it would be a fabulous memory to pass on to children, parents and grandparents....and clutter-free! 👍🎁 Thanks Diane....where would we be without you! 😍😘😘

@dianeindenmark I missed zone 2 last month so it's been on my mind to do a few minutes. This was perfect I did a mix of declutter and cleaning vs trying to make time 2 days but I didn't get sucked in just like you say at the end. You were my timer! Thank you!

Love the nursery tea towels, you've changed my view on the cliche tea towel souvenir. As for the magic sponge, I love them! Before my days of flylady (6 months) these were my most reliable cleaner in the bathroom. Only need water, no chemicals (although I'm sure if I looked at the sponges 'ingredients' I might be shocked). They cut through soap scum with minimal elbow grease. They're also quite fragile so if you're too heavy handed they disintegrate rapidly. Anyway, just wanted to say I found them great for bathrooms and walls 🙂 Have a great week Diane and my fellow fly babies!

Haymeadow, yes. I used mine (Mr Clean) to clean filthy plastic chairs that I found curbside. The white pads cleaned them like new. They do tear apart if not careful.

Thanks so much for your channel. I have it on in the background as I cook and clean and it keeps me going. I am getting more organized because you have inspired me so much. Also my decluttering is now more consistent because I try to declutter something every day. It is truly amazing how much cleaning, organizing and decluttering you can do in just a few minutes! Thanks for your energetic style!

I always feel better about how much cleaning I do each day after listening to your tips. What a special memento of that tea towel! Those "magic" scrubbies apparently aren't good for some things--they took the shine off an appliance of mine. Good thing I only used it on a small spot!

When you were cleaning your cabinets I noticed splatter stains that you rubbed over and that didn't come off. I thought, oh, too bad, she's got some permanent stains on that drawer. And then I saw them on the next drawer and literally laughed out loud. Marks were on my laptop screen! Always love your kitchen cleaning videos. I didn't know about the internationalist style of home until you mentioned. Googled and oh, my I love that style. Just didn't know the name. Lovely fall starting to emerge here in North Carolina, although we are tooo dry. Love across the miles.

I just realized we may have the same coffee pot? My old Mr. Coffee died a few months back, and it was quite an adventure to replace it. One of my adopted GSDs has a "beep phobia" -- any beeping sound sends him into anxiety mode. Anyway, I bought a Cuisinart model to replace my old one, but the beep noise it made was outta control. Poor Zeke about went into conniptions. So I tried to find a way to mute it, but it wasn't capable. I replaced it with a Braun model that made no beeping noises. My coffee is hot and my dogs are calm. WIN.
@DianeinDenmark5 жыл бұрын
Hi Gidget! Yes, why on earth don't the manufacturers give us the opportunity to be able to switch OFF or turn down the beeping? 😄 I had to spend time looking for a coffee maker which didn't beep...don't want to wake up the whole house so early! LOL!

@eileencarroll64185 жыл бұрын
🧡Love the 3-D polka dots (beads). 🧡And love the baseboard drawers. 🧡 I love my "magic sponge" because it removes scuff marks from wall paint without leaving any signs that I have been spot cleaning. It removes the mark but not the paint. The sponge itself is very fragile and is not good for anything else regardless of the advertising. The other thing is that they dry out with age and crumble into bits. So, only buy one at a time and replace when it starts to dry out. They cost only $1 at the hardware store here in Chicago. I have not had to do any touch up painting since I have been using these.🧡

I just moisten with a little water and lightly rub wall scuffs until thes are erased. I never use for counter tops or anything really messy because I don't want to transfer any grease or dirt to the walls next time I do the walls. The magic eraser will remove scuffs, finger prints, splatters/splashes, toothpaste. For dried-on dirt like spider-poop, I first scrape with a razor blade or old gift card then remove the blade/card scuffs with the magic eraser. I hope that helps. 🧡

I have a question about the cleaning: Again I felt like cleaning the whole house during weekly home blessing. I think the reason is that all rooms we use daily need at least hoovering and dusting more often than once a month. What ideas do you have to tackle that „problem“? And: Which zone would you add staircases in the house to?
@DianeinDenmark5 жыл бұрын
The high traffic areas are dealt with weekly (home blessing), so if you are using many rooms/wearing outdoor shoes insdie/have pets, perhaps you want to add in a second whb?
