I clean houses for a living, and I always start from the top and go down. And that’s how I clean each room-vacuum/dust the ceiling corners, light fixtures, furniture , baseboards, floors are the last-vacuum, then mop. As for the ease of cleaning your new house-newer spaces always are easier to clean (and feel cleaner) because you have a new HVAC system. The difference between cleaning an older house as opposed to a brand new build is crazy. Also, smaller spaces don’t always take less time than larger ones-it depends on the amount of ‘living’ that is done there…also the frequency of cleans and/or maintenance that is done between cleans. You’d be surprised at the number larger spaces that take less time than small ones.

I totally agree with you… clean from top down 👍 and it is much easier to clean a bigger house than a smaller appartment! Everything looks put away and nicer! 👍👏👋

With at least one kid at home I can easily understand that cleaning the house takes the whole day. It will get easier when Isaac will get a bit older though.
