First of all, thank you so much for supporting my channel & watching my videos 😭 that made my day! Second… the floors. Our LVP unfortunately has issues too. Our contractor did not level the floors properly before installing them and there are multiple cracks in ours. It is so disheartening. I also feel like having a social life, parenting and finances are all harder than they should be. We work so hard and it seems like every dollar we make is already accounted for before it even hits our bank account these days. It’s hard. And this has been a very very anxious season for me with illnesses and pressure to perform/work. I’m in the depths of it too right now but hanging in there. I hope that your car gets sorted out and things look up soon. We’re living through unprecedented times over & over again, I don’t think there are many people who feel like they have their head above water right now even if it seems like they do on social media

I put this on as motivation to clean my house and it, and within minutes I felt like I was hearing my exact thoughts out loud. Life can be so hard and overwhelming and constantly feeling like you need to take time for yourself but never having the time to actually do it, or being completely exhausted when you do have spare time….Im glad I’m not alone even though I hate that so many people do feel this way. Im also breaking a cycle with my son. Dont stress too much about messing up your kids, the fact that you’re aware of what you don’t want them exposed to is enough, trust your instincts and your heart and they will be fine. ❤

Megan I am so sorry you are having such a rough time. I feel your pain. I am in a relationship that I don't want to be in and can't find my way out. (And I am much older). Life is hard. Money doesn't bring happiness but it sure makes things easier when you don't have to worry about whether you can afford groceries or rent. I feel like all I do is work sleep clean and start the cycle over again. There is no happy, no joy in living and it is sad and so hard. But as for your kids, just love them. Some kids turn out great no matter what happens and the kids who had it easier don't always turn out great. Just love them as I know you do. As long as they know you love them, they will be ok. Praying for you and me and all of us that we find happiness and less struggles.

Hey Megan ❤ Life is definitely a struggle sometimes, but I have found that leaning on God helps me so so much. In the last few years, we have lost both my mother in law and father in law (we took care of them until they passed from dementia and Parkinson’s) and we also lost my sister in law. We are now taking care of my parents who have COPD and congestive heart failure, and my brother who lost his job over two years ago. We are so tired, but God has given us the strength to endure when we thought we would be swallowed up by it all. Thank you for bringing to light thats it’s ok to struggle and it’s something we all do, no matter who we are. I do hope things settle down for you guys soon, I think we all need a break. Home ownership is a blessing and a curse. This year after it seemed like every year we had to have something on the furnace fixed we replaced it wasn't the plan but we were spending money each month fixing something. We also were debt free except for the house but we ended up going into a car loan cause both our other cars were 2004 and it was time. We went about 7 years with no car payment which was great but it was time. For the next 3 months I'm not buying anything we don't need or a replacement. I realized after returning almost $300 worth of home decor I didn't need that I need to stop thinking my home needs to look like everyone elses. We've been decluttering and it's an amazing feeling and our home looks so much better. I think it comes down to with the car will you have to keep putting more money into it every month and in the end is it worth it? I love watching you cause I feel you are relatable and real.

Megan-First, I want to second your opinion on the Lull mattress. I too have serious back and neck issues from a vehicle roll over when I was deployed to the Middle East, and led to major surgery on my C3-4. I have been very particular since then about my mattress. It was coming time for a new when when I saw your video when you got your first Lull mattress. I love it! I have to be honest, though, I wasn’t as happy with their pillows. They just didn’t work for me, but everyone else in the family like them. Secondly- I’m old enough to be your mom, and I have been through it. Especially, the toxic and traumatic childhood and family issues. It was so bad that I told my mother either sign for me to get married at 16 or I was running away and she’d never see me again. She signed, and I wish I could say that it saved me, but it didn’t. The marriage was fine but I wasn’t. We carry those scars everywhere we go. I’m embarrassed to admit this, but I continued to wreck my life until I was in my 50s. I finally realized that I knew what I was doing wrong, and making all these terrible choices, but I didn’t have the tools to change them. After 2yrs of tough therapy, I finally got my shit together. I had to let go of several people in my life, and start over, but my life is quiet, safe, and calm. It’s far from perfect. We all have $$$ issues, and things like that. I think I’ve told you before that my house has been demo’d for a reno but I’ve completely stopped because I had to fire 3 contractors and am afraid to go any further. I’m also saving to make up for the financial costs of those 3 contractors. So, I’ve learned to enjoy my quiet life with my cats and dogs, a few family members that I love dearly, and a couple friends who stuck with me during my self destruct years. You are way more self aware than I was at your age. So, you’re already ahead of the game. Note-just my opinion, but after sinking $10,000 in a vehicle I’d probably start looking for a new one. Probably not brand new. $$$ experts always say never buy new. I usually get one a yr or 2 old, usually with a partial warranty. Ok, I’m done. 😳Sorry for rambling. I just hate to hear you so hard on yourself.

Hello. As I listen to all the problems you are experiencing, my heart goes out to you. The old adage “when it rains it pours” comes to mind. With everything going on with the house, have you considered a home warranty? It’s different from home insurance. A home warranty plan covers repairs to things like your HVAC for a deductible. You would have a monthly payment but it might be worth it. The compressor went out on my 6 year old fridge and I ended up paying $1100 to fix it. If I had been on a plan it would have cost $75. I’ve been on a plan since. Hope this helps and I hope it stops “raining” for you soon.
@lovinglifeasmegan8 ай бұрын
The only difference with the warranty plan is that you pay for it over time instead of all at once, and you end up paying more than what the repair actually costs…it’s designed that way because it’s a for-profit business, just like insurance. We try to minimize monthly bills so that we can remain debt free, so I wouldn’t want to add a warranty bill every month, but I do appreciate that it has worked out favorably for you.
@pamelab11758 ай бұрын
I can definitely understand your troubles. But the fact that you are debt free is amazing. I’m 64 and may never be debt free. We moved from Ohio to Georgia five years ago. We bought some land and live in a manufactured home. It took a long time to get the house put on the land. We stayed with our oldest daughter and her family. They had five kids at the time in the house. It was fun sharing a bathroom with five kids. Then we went to two different hotels. We finally got into our house. I love where we live now. The weather is much better. We have had some really cold days. My husband was ready to move to Florida. But I told him they were having cold weather too. I also have a younger daughter who lives in Ohio. Her and my son in law are coming next month to visit. And we became great grandparents last summer. My oldest granddaughter lives in Ohio too. She’s been here to visit twice since our great grandson was born. I wish she would move down here. Her mom is our oldest daughter who lives close. She wants us to move back to Ohio. Which will never happen. Too many people we don’t want to deal with there. Mostly family members. And the weather there sucks. I’m not leaving my side of this mountain. My mother in law passed away two and a half years ago. She left my husband some money and her house. But he had to fight with his sister and brother in law about everything. And the attorney was no help. But we made out with some money. It’s all gone now. We gave our daughters and our oldest granddaughter money when they needed it. And we got our truck fixed. It was thousands of dollars too. We’re keeping that truck until it dies. When we get it paid off, we’re buying something I can drive. The truck is just too big. It’s a big truck with a crew cab and an eight foot bed. It’s a beast. And I would have to sit on top of the steering wheel to even try to see where the front end stops. So I don’t drive it. But we will never be debt free u less we win the lottery. I like to spend and so does my husband. But we have enough to pay our bills with a little left over. If groceries go down we may end up with more. And then my daughter and my grandkids who live here are always wanting money. Sometimes they get it, sometimes they don’t. I’m trying to have a low buy year. But just buying essential things you need costs money. It’s not that we are destitute. But if we didn’t say no to all the kids and our daughter we would be. Our daughter is a nurse. She has six kids and is driving a car we bought for one of her daughters. Then the daughter bought a newer car. So we got the car fixed for her younger sister. Now my daughter is driving it. And it wasn’t supposed to be for her. So that has caused a few problems. And I’ve had to listen to my husband many times about it. He’s just fed up. But he did tell me my seventeen year old granddaughter maybe getting a car. I really hope she does. She’s a lot like her mom. She’s pregnant. So she works and needs the car for work. It’s just kind of a mess here. But I am looking for a new mattress when we get our tax money back. We just took the papers in today. So I’m not sure how long it will be. The guy said he likes to do some easy returns in between doing business returns. So we should probably know for sure how much we get back next week. Then I’ll know what I can afford. I’m not sure what my husband ‘s plans with it are. But. I told him mine. And if that doesn’t happen he will not be in my good graces. He’ll be on my sh*t list. That’s all I have to say today. Sorry this was so long. I just want you to know you aren’t the only one who feels down or out. Everyone has those days. You just learn to keep doing and hope for the best.

Megan this is a great communication video. Your right everyone goes thru hard times. But we can overcome them. It may take time but we are stronger to handle it. Has Dereck thought about returning to work outside the home. Now that the girls are older it’s easier to manage mom life and home life alit bit . Always here for you ❤❤❤❤

I know you mean well, but I wasn’t sharing this to ask for financial suggestions. ❤️ It’s exactly what I was saying, no one ever knows the conversations, decisions, anything that goes on behind the camera…or what’s already going on behind the camera. We’ve done a lot & sacrificed a lot in order to increase our available budget, but when major things keep happening that are out of your control then you still can’t get ahead. That’s the point that I was making, and just wanting to share that in case there’s anyone out there feeling like they’re alone in that experience.

This is so so true! Life can get extremely overwhelming.. sometimes much worse than other times. And while I do know others out there are having a tough time and probably even worse than what i may be going thru, its just the fact that these feelings are 'mine', whatever is going on its 'my' issue. If you understand what I'm saying.. whatever we are going thru it just seems much worse because its 'our own' issue. Lord knows I'm going thru a very rough time right now its hard & draining, but I also know it could be worse & there are so many that are going thru much worse. Lol I'm not A psychologist or counselor, but I'm quite a bit older than you & I've gone thru hell on earth many, many times, so i guess I'm just trying to say what i feel & what kind of helps me thru.. knowing I'm not alone and there others with way worse issues. But my biggest and main help comes from the Lord, because i could never make it without him! Bottom line is just give it all to the Lord, he'll definitely see us thru! Sorry so long winded, just hope in some way this helps. Sending my love & prayers your way🙏❤

When I was tight for funds about my car...I took it to the local highschool where they had a mechanics class and certified mechanic in the the auto teacher. The senior students did the repair under the eye of the teacher and the teacher checked it all over before the vehicle went back to you. I only paid for parts. Perhaps this would help?
