Thank you for sharing your lives with us. As many have said, you are a natural. Btw Those professional years in your former career came in handy. Technically you’re the primary one talking with patients in the dental chair so you’re well practiced in story telling and gab. And your ability to identify technical and functional aspects of the farm and attention to detail are not a surprise. Keep being you and continue to share your stories. Say howdy to the fam for us! Thanks. Will hang up now and listen.

Thank you! Now that you mention it, I suppose my communication skills are a little sharper because of the dental work. I have found that I do love teaching now. So this channel has given me the opportunity to share what I learn! Thank you very much for watching. If someone would have told me a year ago that I would have a KZbin channel I wouldn’t have believed them! I’m excited to share planting season and sweet corn!

That machine is a masterpiece, built to work hard and to be looked at and enjoyed for years and the man who has the privilege of doing so is lucky 😉The sorter is cool too

Most women do not work as you do, they would rather set on their Butts and watch soap operas and eat frozen yogurt. 😁

Dish detergent is more industrial than you may think. White vinegar is biocompatible and as a low grade acid with water at 1:1 in a spray bottle is more than enough for daily use or weekly cleaning routine. But the folks on your farm are super busy and machine may run long to get in there often.
@BellsFarming4 ай бұрын
Yes! It’s funny I never used vinegar to clean with until a few years ago. And it turns out it is one of the best things to use. That and dish soap. When working with food contact surfaces, it’s important to use something that you would use on your dishes, I wouldn’t use degreaser to clean my plates. Hahah but you are right about the frequency of cleaning, it all depends on how busy we are. Things get cleaned when we have time. Sometimes more time goes by in between cleaning than I would like. But that probably comes from my dental background like you mentioned hahah a farm is not a dental office, haha took me a few years to get that through my own head.

Can’t tell you how many years I have sorting and grading potatoes by hand, I would have killed to have one of those. When we finally sold our farm we were down to 150 acres of potatoes a year
@BellsFarming7 ай бұрын
That was a lot of work! We just got this machine and did all the sorting and grading by had before. I had a little taste of that for about 5 years. Thank you for watching!

Watching potatoes being harvested, who would've guessed. A safety observation. I know that the noise volume may not be extreme, but that constant droning can really affect your hearing in a terrible way. There is new technology in hearing protection that let's you have normal conversations, but yet protects you from the noise. I use 3M Peltor or Axil devices, there are many more. I'm former military & law enforcement so I know the dangers. I wish that I would have been more careful when I was younger. You have a great channel & it's enjoyable watching your adventures. Be safe and Carry On...

Hey there, thank you for the advice. I’m going to look into to what you suggested. I wear ear plugs sometime but my hearing has been affected by all the noise. Shane and I both. Thank you for watching, and leaving a comment

So, how often do you need to clean this ? Does it sort just for size, or does it sort for defects to ? Thanks for the video.

Hey there, I try to clean the Newtec once a week when we are using it regularly. It’s gets a quick wipe down after each day though. The machine is programmable, we make a “recipe “ for how we want it to grade. It graded them on many different factor. Our recipes usually include - size, roundness, color, green removal, and any surface imperfections we want to take out. Very customizable!

Did you purchase your NEWTEC directly from Denmark or from a dealer in the USA? Which one? Thanks.
@BellsFarming5 ай бұрын
Hey Jim, we went through a company in Canada. But I don’t think that was the best option. Not the greatest service. But that’s ok. Shane is able to fix everything himself, just hard to get parts.

Thanks, Molly. We're investigating an older rebuilt NEWTEC weigher/bagger in the south and appreciate you sharing your experiences.@@BellsFarming
