Where I live it wouldn’t get light in the morning until after 8 am in the winter, so I’m okay with daylight savings. The days would be shorter anyways. It also really depends on how far north or south you live, for how much it affects you.

We live in a city in Massachusetts that has beautiful forest areas that have been set on fire numerous times as well as from lightning storms..it is now burning once again..like there in Cali..smoke is thick and hubby is 77 with chronic lung disease as well as Leukemia..so we can't go out and even inside smells like smoke..so scary

We are now in standard time, this is the "normal" day. Daylight saving is what happens when we move forward an hr in the spring. So if there is no daylight saving, there is no "spring forward".

Daylight savings is over. What we have now is Standard time. So you want to go BACK to Daylight Savings time & stay there. I agree, the whole premise is stupid. We also have it in Canada, & so does the UK

In the UK we also have daylight savings. It sucks, on the shortest day of the year the sun rises at around 8am and sets at 4pm, if the clocks hadn't have gone back it would have risen at 7am and set at 3pm. In the summer on our longest day the sun rises before 5am and doesn't start setting until around 10pm, if the clocks hadn't gone forward that point the sun would be rising before 4am. Daylight savings either way sucks, but I can see why they do it, if the time never changed then in the UK we would either have sun sets at 3pm in winter or sunrises at 4am in summer, neither are ideal... although if I had to choose one it would be the 4am sunrises, although I'd really miss the light late nights in Summer, they are the best.

Daylight savings isn’t the reason for the days being shorter. That’s just the time of year. Daylight savings moves the daylight hours slightly one hour forward or backwards.

Unfortunately people in PA deal with Daylight Savings time as well. I hate tht it gets pitch black by 5-p.m. everyday. Ut sucks. I feel like I should be in bed by 5, and yet I did not even eat dinner yet. It is annoying. I think Daylight Savings time should be outlawed.
