I think there is a minor error on roggenrola's bio since it cant get weak armor in this generation not until gen 7 in Alola did it get it as a ability at all. Also another thing Chugga didnt mention about Trubbish and Minccino is that they are version exclusives on Route 4. Trubbish is there in Black 2 and Minccino in White 2. They are available on other routes in the near future but are version exclusives on that route

Yeah, Skill Link Minccino/Cinccino is always fun and doubly so with a King's Rock. Only downside is that you need Heart Scales to get Rock Blast and Bullet Seed, but it's worth investing it because it starts hitting surprisingly hard.

Excadrill is like, the best mon in the adventure for Black2/White 2. Somewhat of an advantage against the infamous Elesa (Not in challenge), gains tons of obsenely powerful, synergistic moves in the midgame like earthquake, Rock Slide and Iron head, has great stat distribution (You don't need 130 speed, 85-90 is enough with EVs), boosting options in a region where those are sorely lacking and great typing on both offense and defense. Yeah, next to no utility, but let's be real, you don't need utility in the adventure, you need to overwhelm the NPCs.

Toxic and Flame Orb, Choice Items being switched onto Tanky Pokemon and vice versa. Klutz has a unique and fun place in the game, whether it be competitive or the main game.

Whelp, time to meet the bazillion Pokemon available around Castelia. Plenty of options, both good and bad - some even great, all worthwhile. This is what I love about trying to catch and raise every unique Pokemon - you get to see and use strategies you may never have considered before, and you'll always be prepared for what comes next. It's a fun - if, at times, tedious - way of playing Pokemon. It is annoying that the dust clouds in Relic Passage only give shards, though. I would have loved to collect some stones, especially for my Eevees. And the shiny Petilil I caught today, that was a nice find. I almost did not realize it was shiny at first, and had to double check just to make sure. Too bad it's stats are worse in every way to the other Petilil I had already caught, which means it's not going to be the main Liligant I use. I'll still train it, but not right now.

Honestly I've always loved how a lot of the early Unova mons are reimagenings of Kanto mons which use similar base concepts but differ in how they build on those, both gameplay- and design-wise. Woobat takes "Bat with Friendship evolution" and is built entirely around that, the Roggenrola line look less like Rocks with faces and instead more like actual Monster Rocks and fittingly are thus pure Rock type, etc. Creativity built on other creative work can have fantastic results and this is a prime example imo

Personally im betting on Umbreon, it'd be nice to have an extremely bulky mon on his team also, he said it himself its best to evolve eevee before level 21 & umbreon is one of the only 2 eeveelutions obtainable at this time. Also hes already used an espeon twice before so i doubt its gonna be espeon again. Finally, Eevee's nature & characteristics heck even the battle in which he caught it seem perfect for the dark type umbreon. Also he taught it attract, thats literally perfect for an umbreon to know for the short term.

Got a smile out of me with that jab with the post-game evolutions in that bio. Really... I don't get what they were thinking with gating off those evolves in particular. It's not like they're so powerful that it would be broken to have them early. Especially when compared to some of the other Eevee evolves. In fact, considering at the time of release you could only get them in a main playthrough in one other game, this would have been the perfect game to let them have some time in the spotlight. This game is a really good blend of classic and modern Pokemon and making Leafeon and Glaceon available would have gone along with that perfectly.

honestly Glaceon has always gotten the COLD SHOULDER, but yeah no matter what generations regional dex it's been in, it always got stuck being the eeveelution that's never worth getting at all due to it being far too late to ever be useful: Sinnoh & Kalos: around the 7th gym Unova: the postgame Alola: Victory Road where it's gonna always die in the league

Not only that but like the stupid ice rock for eevee’s evolution is clear at the bottom of the mt. It takes a century to get there once you unlovk post game. The mossy rock is at least a hop skip and jump away from the castelia city bridge so yeah it sucks that it takes so long to cross but you can get it relatively quickly after that

Just wanted to say thank you for making this series. I've had the games since release, but I always stopped playing after a bit, though I couldn't say why. But with this series as motivation, I finally finished the main story on my very first Pokemon Black 2 save. It only took me about ten and a half years to finally become Champion 😅 Of course, the moment I finished it, I started a new White 2 save with the newly unlocked challenge mode. I just hope I won't need another 10 years to finish this save 😀 I just hope that my Lilipups, or Yorkleffs since it's a German cartridge, are as lucky as you. Because I've still a spot free in my team and while Skill Link Ciniccinos are always fun, finding a King's Rock would definitely be a sign to get one for my team

0:44 Mossy Rock and Icy Rock should be Moss Rock and Ice Rock, respectively. Icy Rock is the held item that increases the duration of hail, and Mossy Rock is the Leafeon evolution item in the Mystery Dungeon games. (He had correct in the Platinum bio...) Anyway, for those wondering, the Ice Rock is located at Twist Mountain, while the Moss Rock is located in Pinwheel Forest. Neither can be accessed before entering the Hall of Fame. (Also, both Leafeon and Glaceon _are_ listed in the regional 'dex, regardless of their inability to be obtained pre-Hall of Fame.)

9:35 Something worth mentioning about Roggenrola, is that it does NOT get Weak armor and later Sand Stream with Gigalith in gen 5, it only got that in gen 7. It's not the biggest lose, sandstorm is very annoying to deal with but if you want to have that synergy with Excadrill then you'll have to look elsewhere unfortunately

Fun fact this game actually has a trade that allows you to trade like a cottonee for a boldore which DOESNT have an everstone. Meaning you can get an in game trade for a gigilth

Umbreon is easily my favorite Eeveelution and a contender for my favorite Pokemon. I use them like a cleric. Give them the moves Wish, Protect, Toxic/Yawn and Foul Play/Punishment and give them a Leftovers held item and they fit so well onto any team.

Watching this made me want to play along as well. I got to here and wanted an Eevee. Paralyzed for 20 turns, never took effect. Used up all 10 Great Balls, 10 Lemonades I got for making movies, 3 Ultra Balls I got from Pick Up, wasted half of my healing items, and took down 2 level 20 with Quick Attack while it suffered Intimidate from my Growlithe. Eevee's are gods in that park.

Great to see you try attract strats. Like I mentioned before, it's my favorite move. And it's always served me well (plus my paratracttion strat). Though I prefer to have it on a female pokemon as most pokemon you'll fight are male. Or, maybe have both a male and female pokemon with attract. Of course, these are just my personal opinions. And huge props to everyone making fanart for this series. It makes me smile seeing them at the end of the video :) Side note: While some might dislike Trubbish (like my second older brother), I personally find it charming. Mostly due to Pokepark 2. The Pokepark games really made fall in love with so many pokemon. They're all so charming in their own ways ^^

The elemental punches have secondary effects which means they are boosted by sheer force and cancel out life orb recoil. You also have low sweep, rock slide and other moves that take advantage of it.

Excadrill is my favorite Generation V Pokémon. It wrecked Ghetsis in my White 2 game. It one shot his White Kyurem and it was beautiful. Love this guy. And I say guy because I named my male Drilbur Simon, the protagonist of Gurren Lagann. Good times.

Drilbur is almost always a staple in my Unova teams. I love using steel type pokemon, but ground type is just icing on the cake.

Something I love doing with King's Rock is on Pokémon with multi-hit moves like Weavile. Beat Up hits six times if you have a full party and Weavile is in the lead. The dice are rolled with EACH HIT when King's Rock is equipped so flinch chance is high!
