Use a black sharpie marker and write the Best Buy dates on the top of the cans so you use the older ones up first. I did this in my pantry and it’s helped a lot. I also use sharpie marker on boxed goods so I can see that date better. Some of those dates are hard to find and so small.

Haha, I had the same lunch (egg sandwich with chocolate milk) was eating mine while you was making yours ! I pack my hubby and 2 sons lunches everyday. I packed a ham & cheese sandwich, veggie sticks, an orange, small container of nuts mixed with dried fruits, a chocolate pudding, and 1 ding dong snack cake, a bottle of homemade ice tea and a bottle of water. Hubby has a small refrigerator that I gave him for Xmas one year in his office, so he keeps extra water in it and his lunch until he eats it. Watching you clean out the pantry, gives me inspiration to clean out my storage closet where I keep cleaning supplies, paper products, mailing products….etc. I don’t even know what’s all in there and it’s full, shelves are over run and items have found a home on the floor, which drives me mad …..lol !

Cleaning the pantry is hard work but sometimes you find some good treasures!!!! I have a rule, when almost out of the staples, I add it to my list so it's not forgotten when shopping and always check dates before buying...During rainy days I like to clean out drawers or closets...

Hi Michelle 😊 I cleaned a lot today. Ran the sweeper and mopped the floors. Washed all the furniture covers. Ironed new curtains and a pile of clothes. Made two stuffed meatloaves, mashed potatoes and gravy. Steamed corn. Dinner rolls, caramel cake for dessert. And I'm tired.

I've decided not to buy as much stuff as I used to. During Covid, I stocked up like crazy. I ended up throwing a lot of stuff out and I hate that. I'm trying to be more careful to only buy stuff I know we'll eat. When you mentioned your Mom loving ice cream, I thought of mine. (Our sweet Patricia Anns) My mom ate a cereal bowl full of ice cream every evening. I'm talking a heaping bowl. She passed when she was 77, but I think she loved her life. Good memories.

Hi Michele 👋 Yes its a good time to clean up ones pantry. I have been wanting to do some stocking up in mine. What I need to do is reorganize my pots, pans, and bowls, I have so many mixing bowls. I love those chili spiced mangos. My daughter had some and I tried them and didn't like them at first, but I kept trying and ended up liking them. I hope Bruce likes them. Use the powdered peanut butter in recipes. It has less calories than regular peanut butter.

I love watching you clean out your pantry. I did that last week it’s a chore and I also do it on unknown cooking day so I can stay focused for my hubby’s lunch I made chow mein noodles sent him off with grapes and oatmeal raisin cookies and of course his coffee with almond milk.

Great pantry organizing video, very realistic. People sometimes pay me to clean out their pantries and I've thrown out black garbage bags of expired food. The snack shelf looked good its a good use of the space

Today I packed hubby an egg salad sandwich, our 9 girls are laying 5-8 eggs per day still, a bowl of potato red curry soup (a new recipe we absolutely LOVE), some venison snack sticks I made in January and cheddar cheese for snacking and small bowl of strawberries.

Hi Michele...Bruce gets some very nice lunches...I have always and continue to make my lunches for work...I work 12 hr shifts so take 2 meals usually and a couple snacks...I look forward to the day when I don't have to anymore😊 I got my pantry done after Xmas and still have my closets, kitchen drawers left to reorganize...has to be done and jobs I don't mind doing...Zen had a big voice for the video today...I wonder if he's getting Spring fever😊 Your pantry is very well stocked which will be handy when you go to bake.

Watch your cans I opened a can of whole chili and I had it explode on me and I had just bought it from Walmart and my uncle lives in Tennessee. He delivers milk door-to-door and the glass jars and milk out here is $1.26 I think I half a gallon.

Your fried egg sandwiches look delicious! I love Havarti cheese too. It's a lot of work to go through a pantry. Mine always has to be bleached and sanitized and repackaged because living in South Carolina we have every bug and critter under the sun that could compromise our supply. I dont neccesarily pay close attention to ex dates anymore like i used to unless it has meat in it or tomatoes back in the day there was no such thing as ex dates,we ate them anyway,lol
