Any way to access the tank? I am seeing mold build up from within inside it but cannot remove its base or top for a wipe down...

Y’all- clean it every three days, or at least once a week.

I agree with the following comments regarding using Distilled Water only.
@michaelshannon655815 күн бұрын
There are demineralization filters available for PureGuardian humidifiers. I run mine constantly in the winter, and replacing the filter every 3-4 weeks is cheaper than using distilled water. That being said, it is extremely important to clean the unit on a regular basis.

I use only distilled water. I still clean it periodically with vinegar. I never saw ladybugs in mine. lol.

I use distilled water and it is perfect.

I wish there was a way to clean the inside where the water goes. I can see that it is gross in there as well. I feel like I would have to buy a new one every 4 months in order to have the inside clean. I clean much more often and as soon as I see the reservoir is getting slimy.

So its actually impossible to access the inside? We all here because of the tank... this isnt a great product folx, we just gotta admit and move on...

Add a little alcohol to keep bacteria from growing. But it's best to use distilled water.

Mine has some of that brown sludge inside the tank on the bottom and on that piece that the steam comes out of. Any advice on how to clean those parts?

I haven’t used mine since I noticed that build up too. Makes me feel like I wasted my money on this.

ULTRASONIC humidifiers Specifically should be distilled water only for this purpose 🧐🤦🏻♀️

the others are too easy to clean. the most important thing is the bottom inside. unless it's taken apart.

@andreaboswell6036 Жыл бұрын
I just bought one and was putting it together. I was going to upload pictures, but that didn't work. 1) Separate the tank from the base of the unit. 2) Flip over water tank and open the tank lid, turning it to the left. 3) Pour cool, clean water directly into the tank. 4) Close the tank lid, turning it to the right. It's important to FIRMLY secure cap after filling the tank with water.

Any advice why the red light come on

I bought the same but no steam coming out
@livefree68782 жыл бұрын
the unit is not very user-friendly. The first push of the button will only turn the light on. Crazy that they did that. The second time you push the button no light but the vapor will come out. The third time you click the button it will put out vapor and the light will be on. Hopefully that’s the problem.

can you use regular tap water?
@jellybelly78332 жыл бұрын
No you’re not supposed to specially with ultrasonic humidifiers that’s where she made the error. Most have a filter, but ULTRASonic do not; Hence why one should only use distilled water. Fortunately distilled water is still about $1.25 a gallon🧐💪🏼🤓♥️🙏♥️
@carissastephens87312 жыл бұрын
You can also boil your own water at home to make it distilled.
@evelinazabawa92262 жыл бұрын
That's incorrect. You would just have boiled water that has actually more mineral content. Distilled is made with a steam process
@kimhoitomt852728 күн бұрын
@cccccrr They were selling the product and they said regular water. It might depend on the quality of your water. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZnMiZ6LbcuYkKMsi=bmJTkGX2-0VNkl-C

Yup. Didn’t read the instructions. Specifically states to use distilled only. 🤦🏻♀️

The instructions don't say only distilled. They say "Use clean OR distilled water in the tank. Hard water will require more cleaning."

*DON’T* use tap water in humidifiers people! Much higher risk for unhealthy microorganisms. Also, the minerals are bad for the humidifier. Use distilled water 🙂.
