Drae I have watched ever since the stranded deep series and ive seen this channel grow and progress in amazing ways, but I gotta say this editing style doesnt fit the main channel if it stays it stays but personally I come for the personality and fun you provide and the editing just feels like its in poor taste compared to the usual style you got, new editing could be amazing but id recommend doing what suites you and the channel Edit: forgot to point out exactly what I was talking about with the new editing in this video so I'll make a short list. - Constant jump cuts - Very large and flashy subtitles that seem random - The multitude of sound effects - View suddenly being zoomed in or out at any time to show emphasis on what you are saying

Excited to see more of this game ! Noticed a bunch of sound effects felt out of place in the editing, I'm wondering if it was just a mishap on a mixing level perhaps, but I'd definitely see them be tuned down a bit, at least so they're not louder than your voice.

hey, i've been watching you for many years and have been looking forward to your videos every day. mostly because you've pretty much kept the same no-nonsense editing style and personality. so i don't like this new editing style. but i understand it if it works better with youtube nowadays. if you do keep this style, please check the sound mixing though, the obnoxious sound effects are way too loud with comparatively quiet commentary. keep being you

Exactly the same feeling here, the reason I watched drae for no joke about 10 years now is that he just plays the game and has the normal non-over the top commentary that can be funny at times but never forced. The amount of high energy KZbinrs with over edited videos full of close-ups and skit sounds is gigantic already, I doubt drae with his medium energy commentary will take away any audience from those anyway. Ofc I understand that he might need to try new things in order to keep the channel growing, so I am not holding anything against him. Just saying what I think as a very old viewer that been watching his videos daily for a decade. If you come across this drae, maybe consider Patreon if that would allow you to keep up good revenue without changing the format.

I don't mean to pile on here, but I do agree with your sentiment. I've been watching since 2015 so this editing style kinda took me by surprise. I don't mind it too much, but the sound effects definitely do come across as a bit too obnoxious for me, especially after hearing the same one used a couple of times

100% agree. A couple of sound effects here and there are fine, but this video has far too many. Literally right before I watched this I was thinking about other KZbinrs who changed their styles for the worse in service of the algorithm and how I stopped watching them as a result. I would hate to add Drae to that list.

yeah ive been watching since near the beginning of beseige and in the last year ive been getting more frustrated with drae, really short 15-20 min videos, he swears a lot less which is neither here nor there i guess just an observation, and he misses REAAALLY obvious shit a lot. my time here may be coming to an end tbh

Hi Drae, the sound effects don't really suit your content in my opinion. I think you create enough sound effects with your groaning and complaints (that we love!) that the artificial ones seem out of place.

This video was fun for a little bit, but all those added sound effects (0.54; 1.28; 2.27 ... just to name a few) are just bleh. Between talking, game sounds, and music there's plenty of 'noise' going on already, so no need to over-saturate it with additional sounds that are over-used seemingly everywhere anyway.

I see there's either a new editor or you're testing editing out. i dont mind some of the zoom in's if things are far away but please skip out on the over editing, obnoxious amount of skips, shortening the video and cartoony sound effects. As a fan since draegast i like your old style more, as well as the videos being longer thats why we or i watched your whole powerwash sim and stuff but if this stays than sure I'll continue watching and support you but i definitely wont be enjoying it as much. Trash pandas are little assholes. For about a year and a half they would not stay out of my trash cans. I even bought bungee cords and strapped the lids down.
