Thanks for videos ! I have been watching your cleaning series, it's giving me confidence to clean a 1920 Singer (31K) 128 hand crank. it is beautiful machine Y series with Victorian decals, made in Kilbowie. I would love to sew with it.

Hi, Love your cleaning series! It has inspired me to go ahead with one on my own. Now I kind of need a little vid about how to get metal plates unstuck. Do you have any video on that? 😁

Another very informative and helpful video. Just watched another of your videos on a Necchi BU Mira machine where I asked about cleaning. I was given one that has been dormant for at least a decade. I believe this video may be very helpful and plan to browse thru more of your posts. Where did you acquire the oil bottle with the long metal tip?

As always, another informative video. I own a Japanese zigzag machine from the late 50s, early 60s. The brand name is Hallmark. I've seen other names as well. Model 1692. The mechanism looks quite similar. This machine makes extremely precise satin stitches, smooth even at full throttle. Thanks

Thank you! I have a '70s mechanical Bernina. All the mechanisms are on top. Should I oil everything movable as you did here? Or will oil then drip onto my fabrics? I LOVE my Bernina and want to keep it healthy forever.

If your machine has been sitting dormant for a long time, you might add a bit more oil than you normally would. (normal being just 1 drop at each of the marked oiling holes). If you are unsure about any leaks, I would run through some scrap fabrics to test the stitching and allow the oil to work its way through. If it does leak, it should be temporary.

I’ve left you a message on Tumbler. Is there a better way to get in touch? I’m very interested in the possibility of purchasing a vintage zig-zag machine from you!

Hi Aaron. I don't have a Tumblr account so I'm not sure who you had contacted. My email is listed under the About tab here on the channel home page. Scroll down to the bottom and click on the gray tab. If you are in the Toronto area, I would be happy to coordinate something with you. We do not ship our machines unfortunately.

Vintage Sewing Machine Garage Thanks for getting back to me! Unfortunately, I am down in Omaha Nebraska. I have the same blond SINGER fold-out table that you have, and I’m looking for a nice Zig-zag machine to use it with. Sorry I won’t be able to buy from you, but I really do enjoy your channel! Aaron

@@TheLonny321 I kniw this is an old post but in case you haven't found a machine for your table yet, you might check in with Millard Sewing Center. They work on and sell a lot of vintage machines. They have a website.
