The most bad thing about whirlpool washing machine is that opening the long plastic cover above the filter cap which has 3 notches which can break anytime if much pressure is applied to open the cover. I broke 2 of the 3 notches while opening the cover which is very hard to press down. I had an IFB washing machine which had a small metal rectangular cover which is knocked hard to open it & there's no chance of breaking as it's metallic one but this whirlpool company has made it of plastic so that customers always have to call technician for cleaning the filter by paying visit charges else the notch locks made of plastic may break & the entire cover had to be replaced

I have the exactly same machine I had F05 error, i also clean this and the back part too there was not any dirt and still did not work. luckily I had 3 months varanty. I will not buy Whirpool products anymore. it was not the first time.

Works also for the 6610. Filter was blocked with wasshable mouthmask! Werkt ook voor de 6610. Filter was geblokkeerd door een wasbare mondkapje!

I tried to open the cover initially with screwdriver but only managed to open until middle from right hand side. Then I tried to use the back of fork to pry open, the plastic latches at the top center and top left broke. Guess they are too tight. Do you know where to get replacement?

a replacement for the defective part is best ordered from your local washing machine shop. plastic parts are often very fragile, do not try to open them with tools. The filter cap is also made of plastic, if something is stuck in the filter, it can also break off. always be careful with this.

@@paulwilliams6399 hey Paul. I'm actually using my husbands KZbin account. He tried last night and the message came up. So fed up i watched this and tried again 😅. There was water everywhere but I managed it. He's a builder so I don't think he got all the screws out even though I check pockets as I load! I found 2 more screws today and washed the filter. Seemed to have done the trick. My load kept stopping towards the last few mins so the WM wasn't completely full. Hope you have managed to fix yours too! My load went on fine after that.
