Thanks for sharing Jody. It is so easy for our spaces to get disorganized and cluttered when creativity is driving us. Taking the time to clean up, sort, and organize helps us to refocus and reacquaint ourselves with just what we have. I do floral arranging as well as beading. I have been going through boxes and boxes of supplies to reorganize and store so that I can see what I have. I am doing the same with Christmas decor. I have so much "stuff" and it was spread out all over. I would shop after holiday sales and then the bag would get put somewhere never to be seen again. I have resolved to store like items together and make it easier to find what I am looking for. I have also stopped, "saving for good or to use later." When is later?? Yes, it is a monumental task to sort and organize but the feeling of accomplishment is so uplifting when it is all done. Best wishes on achieving your goal of making your space work for you. I will also say a prayer for your health - being out of breath happens to me and it can be frightening. Happy New Year!!

You're doing great! Inspirational. I'll be cleaning my beading area well. My room is also my computer desk/work at home, my guest room ( queen mattress and box spring leaning on the wall), my art room for painting. When company comes I need to pack up everything and fold up my work station ( drafting table), move it all out so I can lay down the bed. I do love this as it means I HAVE to clean and sort at least 4 times a year. Otherwise it would be featured on a hoarders' tv show. 😆😂.

It is nice to see others craft spaces and organizing ideas. I don't have an actual craft room. My crafting spills into all the areas of my one bedroom apartment. My desk, my dining table, my bedroom, my coffee table...you get the picture. I do have storage boxes and drawer units, so I am inspired to get at it and reorganize everything to start off the new year. I love seeing your kitties. I have a black kitty too.

What I love about beading is NOBODY is judgy! I just moved and am starting over completely with organizing my stash. I saw a great video from Joee about how much to keep. I so ned to destash! As for liquidating your earrings… don’t sell yourself short! Price them at least at cost and that should include a time factor! You make beautiful pieces!

Good job Jodie! I have a nightmare ahead of me. I live in a 4 bedroom home and I don’t have a craft room! And it’s just my hubby and I too! Wait…what, whoa??!!! I have all of my beads, wire, leather, findings, etc. in clear bins and new strands just thrown together in a tote bin; but what a mess! And I’m trying to rattle my brain trying to get creative on how to organize it all. It’s looks really great and organized I hope to make an area for mine it’s in 2 of my bedrooms and my desk is in my kitchen. I bought a big heavy duty metal shelving holds 700 lbs per shelf. But I’m using it to hang my pots and pans and store some of my Jewelry beads on my chains and leather. I’ve got to start organizing my things too. Love to you Jody. I've been doing the same exact thing. I bought me a couple foldable shelves and a couple filing cabinets from Temu. I started a few days ago and I'm still not done. I cleaned out the closet in my bead room and have been organizing my beads, color coordinating some of them and putting them into containers. I took a bunch of stuff to the thrift store and have more to go through to take there. I just can't stand the chaos anymore and I want everything organized and neat and I'm doing the room in pink! I love my pink shelves and pink filing cabinets that I got from Temu. 😊

Da@@thisbeadedlife I bought the pink foldable 5 tier shelf. I bought two of them. They are sturdy but they fold and there is no assembly. I highly recommend them.They are very nice and they also have a 4 tier. I bought two pink filing cabinets. You have to assemble them. My husband put them together for me but I have not used them yet so I don't know how sturdy they are yet. Make sure you look for the lowest prices because the prices vary from seller to seller.

No shame, Jodi. So jealous of your bead room! I live in a small condo and have to be creative with storage. I just put away jewelry supplies that have been sitting on my coffee table for 3 to 4 months.🤣🤣. I use a dresser for a TV stand, and use the drawers for my bead storage. Plus I have a shoe box on the bottom of my coffee table to redo or harvest.

I also buy storage boxes to sort new shapes and types as and when I notice a large collection getting out of hand- like leaf beads have their own containers, crystal cubes etc. we bearers never judge! Looks great! And looking forward to many hours of creations!

May I suggest that you stack the bead containers on their sides in that cart that your mom got you. If you label the ends and put them on their sides, you will be able to take one out without having to move them all. That will also give you room to fit more containers. Of course, that is IF they fit. Also, I'm the one that suggested the spoon, so I am glad you are using it. I have a sugar spoon that has a square scoop. It works very well. I also have the bead shovel with the pointed tip, but it doesn't pick up as much as my spoon. These little items are especially helpful to pick beads off of the beading mat. You can pick up so many at once.

You should not worry about how bad your beading space is. For the large amount you have, you have things in pretty good shape, I think. I would utilize the tall storage unit behind you since it looks like it's metal. It will take the weight better. I keep my partitioned boxes labeled with a Sharpie. When I decide to do something else with the box the sharpie marker will rub off with a kleenex if you wipe really hard. I keep my plastic boxes of beads separated by companies for about 3 months, then I organize them by color. I have my itty bitties then beads from Kraftika, and Dollar Bead box which I don't get any more. I started beading in October of 2023. BBB and Sam's are the 2 main boxes I get. I've gotten a few of the other boxes a couple of time and I buy WAY too much on my own! I keep them in the plastic containers by color. I kinda remember where I got lots of things, but I label everything! Pendants, charms, living things, leaves, flowers and bead caps are in separate boxes. Metal materials are separated by color ( links, spacers, connectors Etc) Wire, stringing wire, suede and leather too. I love your kitties, and I have followed you since Wendy passed. I followed her first. She was such a wonderful person, I know she's happy in heaven. Have a happy, healthy, bead-love year and don't stretch yourself to far, you are a talented, busy lady, so be kind to yourself about your craft room. 🎉 Happy New Year!

On 9/30/2020 I fell off of my deck and broke my back. Ever since I really can’t do much. I can’t liv]ft the totes to go thru them. I have tried to reorganize. It just isn’t happening. I have made very little since that happened. I haven’t given up but it is really hard for me to do much. So frustrating! I don’t think anyone should criticize any of us. Do you sell jewelry? Those stacking bins will not work well for you. Beads weigh more than you know! They will eventually start to make the bins bend downward and the ones below the one above won't be able to close properly as they will not hold up to their square shape!

OMG yours is nothing!!! Nothing, if it makes you feel better. I don’t have a room that I can call my beading room, I have a double closet. On one side of my double closet is attached to the other side of a double closet that is my pantry. So if you open my closet on the right looking for say Noodles, you will likely find a package of beads has rolled off the other side into my pantry side. Like you I have cleaned things up, purchased different sizes of containers, then I tried labeling everything . The best laid plans go by the way side. So what I have finally done is simply open one box of beads because all the beds in there I love . Decide what I’m making then go to 2 large containers that are just various findings and spacers . Everything else can sit till my next project. I can to this because I don’t have a camera sitting where I’m trying to teach. So applaud applauds Jody you are great. You teach us so much and answer our questions. Then I make a tray of a project I’m working in and make sure I do n’t pull out anything else. I’m telling you all this because you are amazingly organized even though you don’t think so. If you ever want a boost ask us to share our work areas. I have my bead station on my coffee table and on my dinning room table I have my dog grooming things there, on the other side of the room I have my son’s little toys I give him when he is feeling depressed. He has disabilities and a little small toy brightens ups his day. So you dear lady are so organized and we have such fun watching your work and enjoy your sharing with us. Don’t be so hard in yourself you are just fine!!! You always look together, what is that saying “ Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff!” So true! You bead area always looks great!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
