Aint that the TRUTH! I’ve found countless piles of earthly treasures on our property in the 10 yrs we’ve had it just found 2 more this winter while i’ve been removing thousands of feet of barb wire fencing. All you have to do is walk into the woods about 20 ft and parallel the field edge and you WILL stumble across a pile in short order. It is amazing what you can find, and where you find it. And also pathetic. Definitely satisfying every time I finish cleaning one of them out.

In the last session you were talking about the black cherry being poison for live stock ....the bad thing about the cherry trees is the pits ,not the tree and branches the cherry pits hold Candide ...the only way around it is to use the cherries but you have to remove all the pits themselves...I made some homemade wine and it was the best I ever made

Love a good clean up. I would have cut the plastic on top of the concrete pad. The older I get the more aware of micro plastics I become. All those cuttings will go nowhere but into the soil. At least on the concrete they can get swept up. 👍

Outstanding cleanup of your property and compacting it into the dumpster. Will R-becky be mowing close to the old silo concrete pad? If so, she may want to run the magnet through the nearby grass to pick up nails, etc. The two of you work very hard. And there are the chores. 😄
@johnthompsonii8335
@johnthompsonii8335 Жыл бұрын
Ever think of taking the magnets you have on your little setup there and using epoxy to hold them to the board? Then you could scrape the extra rust and junk off without the wires being in the way. Nice setup though. I like the ingenuity.

Yeah, you are definitely getting add’l charges for that dumpster….lots of dirt in there it looks like, plus you’ve compacted it really well. The amount of cleanup you just did I’ve done about 6 times on our property, and it is ALWAYS satisfying when it’s done and hauled off. If you’re going to do more of this, it is a LOT more efficient and cost effective if you simply stack all the debris, junk, whatever in one pile…..convenient to a road or driveway….and call somebody with a grapple truck to come load it and haul it off. The guy I use has a 30-yd dump bed and he can pick up and load everything in about 30 mins. Costs me anywhere from $200-$300 each time, depending on how heavy it ends up being.

The bin pad looks good. It would be a great place to put a bale feeder. If that’s not feasible then think about putting a shelter over it to store round bales in. The price of concrete is very costly. I would think long snd hard before destroying that pad.

Evan, as long as you have your Allis that far apart and considering that casting has been broken an welded?? Your probably within 100 miles of a guy in Indiana that deals in Allis parts, I know of four more Allis salvage yards between Missouri and Minnesota,, not my tractor,not really my business but if you have it that far apart I know what I would do. Have a good day,,

You should build a small aeration system for your parts washer... let the parts sit in the tub and have a small piece of tubing, put into a circle, with tiny holes in it, and the one end pinched off, and turn the air onto it real low with small bubbles going and it will clean those parts spotless. Great video today

I overloaded my last dumpster and it wasn't well received because the owner/driver said if he had gotten stopped before he made it to the dump site, he would have incurred a pretty hefty fine. As it was, I think he passed on and extra 200 dollar charge to me just to cover what the dump had charged him. I guess they pay by the weight for what they are dropping off.
