Cleaning Up Wall Street: Overcoming Depression in a Filthy Apartment

I'm sure you've heard this before from others, but as someone on the spectrum I use your videos and Midwest Magic Cleaning's videos to help motivate me to clean my own place. While I don't suffer with hoarding, I struggle to find the motivation to clean weekly on my own. Cleaning "with" y'all helps me knock out weekend tasks because it feels like I'm not alone in my cleaning endeavors. I find I'm less agitated by the tasks at hand too. Thank you!

It was amazing to see this lovely studio apartment but it just goes to show that whether it's an expensive place on Wall St or a very poor, shabby place in the rundown parts of town, depression can strike anyone and make them give up and end up in a horrible mess. You are so kind and such an incredibly hard worker! I was thinking how strong your arm muscles must be with all that scrubbing. I hope this lady can feel some peace and calmness and hope in her lovely, fresh apartment now and maybe hire a weekly cleaner to keep on top of things if she still finds it difficult to do herself.

That was an expensive high-end apartment at one time, and it says a lot about the management that there were no bugs running around despite the amount of spilled food. I bet the nicer finishes were more fun to clean, but that apartment sure was a mess! You did a splendid job making it livable again.

Everything was so stellar that I could not decide a favorite! Totally good and thank you. Helps me to clean my own house- I watch a few minutes and then halt the video to do a task. Then I come back and "reward" myself with another 5 minutes or so. I continue this until the video ends and/or I run out of tasks... If I need to do more, I look at another of your videos! Please keep making them as I learn and feel inspired each time.

Wow. What a transformation. I hope this person can find the emotional support they need. Now their place will be a haven instead of a torment for their mind. And maybe even if they can’t physically keep the place clean, they’ll be able to hire someone to help with that goal. Sometimes we don’t want others to see the mess of our place when having to ask for help. I know so many people that hire house cleaners and clean before they come. They are embarrassed for others to see their mess. Kind of odd really. But to each their own. Whatever motivates us, right?

So many things she has that are really nice. Clothes, toiletries, etc. When order and tidiness arrives she will save a lot of money from having to buy new things and sorry if I repeat myself, maybe then she can afford a weekly cleaner to help her life become smoother. She needs a six pack of toilet rolls and a loo cleaner brush beside the toilet and a trash can when you leave. My sympathies and cheers on your great work. Sorry for the dog hope he/she gets out a lot. Really nice flat. Lovely bathroom.

This place seems super old but in the best possible way. Everything seems like it’s made from marble slabs and thick pieces of glasses, and top end cabinets. You made such a difference!! What in the world was the purple on the white monitor? That bathroom was a whole weeks worth of workout at a gym!
