I think what Barbie did is simply amazing, excellent, and magnificent. I have no criticism whatsoever, and I agree with you, Barbie is phenomonal. She gave the woman and her little girls their home back, gave them a safe, clean place in which to grow, play, live and heal together. For now, that's what the family needs, and it's wondeful that they've gotten it from someone so kind and totally nonjudgmental.

Over at your channel from midwest magic cleaning, ignore the judges. How does it get like this? A little bit at a time, and that makes it harder to notice until it gets overwhelming. What about the kids? They can start over being more tidy with mum, even little kids can put things away or in a bin. When it comes to people telling you how to clean or giving you instructions, it is only ever up to you to make choices in your life and work❤ It is great to see the outcomes of those choices in your videos Barbie, 10/10.

Great job Barbie ❤ I know a lot of people will come on here and rant and rave about how the kids should be taken away but that is only out of ignorance about how the child care and foster care systems work. This lady is taking obvious steps to fix all of her mistakes, getting everything cleaned and getting therapy for herself. She is building a better life for her kids who seem perfectly happy to be with her. Give her a chance before judging and condemning her when she is trying so hard to make things right.

Most healthy people are unable to relate to this sort of situation, I know I can’t. But I watch it. Some could benefit from counseling, no doubt. But I will say, Barbie is undaunted by her task at hand!

Hi. When you're using a plunger in a bath or a sink, it sometimes helps to use a damp cloth and hold it over the overflow hole at the same time. It helps to create a vacuum. My Dad is a plumber! You're an amazing woman, Barbie xx

Maybe he was abusive and she asked him to leave or maybe he left because her depression was so bad she wasn’t getting help for it or maybe he was a guy who never helped and was mean to her? I mute the video and just watch the cleaning because I experience misophonia, and can't tolerate the various sounds of scrubbing, etc. (nor of many, many other sounds around me, including of people eating). I'm glad we can see what's going on without having to hear it, and still understand that everything Barbie does (and Mack of MMC, and others who are doing this all over the world) comes from a place of deep caring and sympathy. I don't have to hear any of it to "get" the backstory, having lived one of them myself 42 years ago over a course of seven years endurance.

I'm responding only from a perspective my (now deceased) son and I went through more than 40 years ago. His father and I had divorced, my ex taking custody at gunpoint (seriously). One year after the divorce, I sent my ex to prison while also regaining custody of our son. Our lives were utter chaos, I couldn't focus to do the simple homemaking tasks required, and then, on top of that, I was seriously injured on the job just two days before Thanksgiving, further shutting down my abilities to do right by my son. Ex was out of prison by then, so I asked Son if he thought he'd be better off with his Dad, and he strongly and emphatically said "NO! I'm staying with you, I'm not afraid of a little dirt, and we'll help each other, Mama!" He was only 8 y.o. at the time, and typical little boy that he was, never saw the dirt I could see, nor that our meals were super plain (financial constraints due to the injury and I couldn't work for several months). He only knew that he wanted to be with me, and whatever we could do together was enough for him to be happy. I think maybe it was that way for this young mother and her daughters; they have each other, and the girls know that Mama is doing what she can at the time, and they're ok with that.

Barbie, the only judgement I would say it how amazing & so clean everything was done in the amount of time you had. I also am amazed that the homeowner was helping you & she even had her young daughter to help fold the couch bed up. No it is not perfect, but they have to feel so much better in the before & the after of it. This has to help with the motivation with the person that yes things can be better for me & yes one day I can have that or I can do that. It is a work in progress (that is what I always say). It has to do with resources and ability not motivation. I have serious issues with housekeeping and I clean hours and hours every week. No one would believe me because it's still a disaster. I AM motivated. Basically everyone is motivated to live in a clean house but motivation doesn't translate to anything. The woman wasn't hoarding, though. She wasn't in the mindset of "gotta keep everything," she was just trying to get through each day as best she could and was only able to focus on the very most basic aspects of life. When she has her little girls to take care of and feed, taking out the trash simply doesn't register as the highest priority. There's a huge difference between A) struggling to just maintain life on an even keel, and B) actively holding onto every ancient thing one has ever had (I'm generalizing broadly). She was doing the best she could where she was with what she had in her capacity to do right then. Many of us have been there to some degree, and can see that she was seriously struggling---but it doesn't mean she's any sort of hoarder (and even if she was, whose business is it other than hers and her daughters?)

I, in no way, shape, or form want this comment to come across as critical. I understand the disease of hoarding. I also understand that sometimes the spouse leaves because the horde is too much. They leave because they've tried to contain the hoard and the main offender Is extremely combative or angry. I understand it is a disease, and hopefully, counseling and treatment and training also for the children that live in this home will be a blessing to all of them. I'm always amazed how just cleaning up the garbage and the clothes make such a huge difference. Thank you for the nice long video! When you're using a plunger in the tub, you have to block the overflow drain. There can't be any air escaping otherwise you don't get good suction to remove the blockage.

Amazing job Barbie! You deserve a humanitarian award for the selfless work you do for others❤. It’s not easy to humble yourself and ask for help so the fact that this mom has taken the first step is huge. It won’t change overnight but am sure she is beyond grateful as are the kids and will make an effort to continue maintaining it. WOW! Barbie, thank you for doing all that for the woman and her children. You took their home from a nearly uninhabitable space back to a real home where they can live, play, and heal together. If I was a stronger person physically (I'm somewhat limited by spinal arthritis and loads of pain), I'd get myself a hazmat suit to wear (just my squeamishness at dealing with unknown dirt and germs, that's all), and take all that laundry to the 'mat and do it all for them. I have a hard time scrubbing floors, but laundry is something I can do, and have done, to help others. I'm not in your country, of course, but I hope you understand what I'm saying I'd do to help if someone I knew needed it. Magnificent job!

I have two purifiers running right now and I’m glad air dog sponsored you! You deserve it so good on them. I can’t imagine how helpful a fancy machine is, but a basic Holmes from the grocery has cut down on the cleaning I do. The dust gets trapped in the filter and isn’t on all my surfaces!
