In this short video, we take a look at an El-Cheapo "bulb" style blower vs a VSGO filtered Blower. Is there a difference? Does it matter? Even though they do push out similar volumes of air, the VSGO blower has better directional stability and since it has a filter, the air is also cleaner (less dust and debris). Also, the VSGO has a silicone tip/nozzle so you won't scratch your sensor in case you make contact. So, to me, yes, there are differences that explain the higher pricing.

I have to wonder if the filter is self defeating in that dust drawn into it could well be blown straight back out albeit in smaller volumes.

I had that thought too. Supposedly it has a one way valve to prevent that from happening and an actual mesh filter to keep debris from being pushed out. All I know is that cleaning the sensor is so much faster with it.

The only thing with electric blowers is the byproduct of static. Static electricity would attract small particles. Maybe they found a way around it. I'll check it out as well seeing as I've never heard of it before.

@@KobieMCand the need for batteries. As well more to go wrong. Heavier. Not waterproof, it's over complicating a simple tool.

No need for batteries, lithium ion pack is built in. I wouldn't be cleaning sensors etc in the rain so not being waterproof wouldn't matter to me. It's a pretty simple device but I hear you. It is more complicated than just a bulb blower (which I also have). Having a device with both a brush and forced air does come in handy for stubborn particles. Sometimes a bulb blower on its own just doesn't cut it.
