Good thing I watched this! I just made a fleece child-size robe and the machine was jammed with lint!

I also use the vacuum cleaner hose and suck out more lint and fuzz. Amazing how much gets into that tight space!

Thank you, Penny, for reminding us to clean our machine's bobbin area on a regular basis. Also, we need to change our needles, too. I'm guilty of keeping the same needle in while making multiples of the same small item, like a potholder or small purse. I usually assembly-line sew them and get caught up in the process. I have to remind myself to change the needle so I can avoid the problems of skipped stitches or broken needles. I have enjoyed your channel ever since I "discovered" you a few months ago.😂

Thank you for this post. I have marked my calendar for the first of every month to do a machine cleaning.

Good reminder! I use my Bernina anywhere from four to eight hours most days and my Featherweight almost every evening. The Featherweight is a quicker clean but it all makes a difference! Thanks!

It's oddly satisfying to get that lint out of there! I almost snagged a mini-vacuum at our Christmas party in a Chinese Christmas game, but it was stolen away from me! I was a good sport, though. When they apologized, I told them it was OK, I didn't like to clean anyway!
