Myself and many others would be extremely grateful for a video on how to replace the combustion fan. It is sometimes nearly impossible to get someone to work on these stoves; and when they do, it costs way too much for many to afford. I have a Toyo Laser 560 that is fairly new and is making terrible combustion fan bearing noises. I wouldn't dream of repairing this thing without some knowledge first. I would pay good money just to get some reliable information and instruction. Great video. I really appreciate your efforts.

@@precipice-lifeontheedge266 I am having the same issue right now. Living in Alaska without a heater is no fun in December. For a while the Blower motor was squealing really bad and then it just started shutting off and I would have to reset it and it would squeal again. Now it won’t come on at all and it sounds like it’s bound. Guess I’m just gonna have to dig into it😢

@@nosoupforyou4307 Since posting the previous comment, I have ordered a combustion fan unit and installed it. I recorded each step with a photo on my phone as I was taking it apart. I labeled each step with a number and put the screws and small pieces into numbered paper cups. I then put the heater back together while reviewing the photos in reverse order. I sweated bullets until it was all back together. You can do it too! Go slow, put the stove up on a coffee table to work on it. Do not tip the stove when moving it. Two people can lift it straight up and onto the table. Unfortunately, the brand new combustion unit very soon began making the same bearing noises! I am returning it for a replacement and will try again. Toyo needs to get it together and put better bearings in their products. Maybe I'm just full of it and don't know what the heck I'm talking about. Nevertheless, you CAN do it yourself. Go slow, work carefully.

I live on the side of a mountain in the Alaska Range. Nearest TOYO shop is over 120 miles away. Thank you for this video. I have rebuilt hundreds of cars, trucks, and motorcycles. With your guidance I think I can handle this. I bought three TOYOs' last year. A small, medium , and large. I also heat with a coal stove so the TOYO's don't work too hard. When I bought them it was the first time I had ever seen one. But their reputation is good so I went for it. Hopefully there is someplace I can call if I have a question. Living out in the wilderness I am on my own. Being in Nome I'm sure you can appreciate that. I miss Nome. Been there many times.

What type of diesel fuel do you use?. I live mid east coast and have always use dyed K1 kerosene but it has gotten so expensive. I've read that I can use a low sulphur heating oil....is that correct? I know there are #1 and #2 heating oils,
@nosoupforyou43075 күн бұрын
Here in Alaska they sell diesel heating oil. Pretty sure it’s just Low sulphur diesel, but I have also just used regular diesel from the gas pump when I was in a pinch and just needed a fiver. The heating oil is cheaper so try to find a place that sells it 👍🏾

Any suggestions on how to test/verify a fuel pump is working? I never hear it pump any more and the fuel nozzle going to the pot is bone dry now.

99 out of 100 times fuel supply problems at the nozze are from outside the unit.
