this is what we all share in our tiny islands, church on Sunday...and many many other things

In Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬 the Kuanua speaking people of East New Britain Province where I come from, we call the Pastor ‘Talatala’ too. The first missionaries that came and planted the church were from the Methodist church hence we have exactly the same tradition.

This was a great insight! Fijians are well known to be cheerful, friendly, polite and agreeable towards tourists and visitors and it shows. It seems that they are generally like that with each other as well as being God fearing, humble and grateful people. I know that they are not perfect because that wouldn't be realistic but they are definitely charming. Thank you and The Talatala for allowing us to witness an authentic village church service.

Im not Fijian but an honorary member of a Village and very privileged to be classed so for many years. I love village life and the culture that goes along with it. I attended Church and found it very different from my own Church in Australia in that the men, women and children sat separately also the villagers sang very enthusiastically and it s so beautiful to hear. Thank you for this video it brought back very fond memories.

Whenever we would be at our maternal village in the weekends , we would go out to the Lali House to watch our Uncles beat the Lali and the rhythm they go by gives a good melody and sound … the timing of their beats is wonderful to watch. Our Grandmas house was next to the Lali house - so when I watched it here again -- Awwwwww our childhood days just flashed back. Wonderful videos, Turaga Naitas. 👏👏👏👏👍

It's the same tradition with all Merhodist Church. We start with Sunday School then the big service after. We do the same with Holy Communion where we walk to the front and kneel or stand to receive the wine and bread as the symbol of Jesus blood and body. I'm a proud Methodist member and the President of our John Wesley Methodist Sunday School. ✌️

Making fun of the Almighty Gods worship isn't nice for believers to see, let alone non believers who need to come to Christ, but after they see this they think that it's all a joke . All the best with your jokes mate
@uraiatabua2 жыл бұрын
Bula Katrina, I didnt make fun of the Church service. I was making jokes prior to the Church service yes and i had the blessings from my village and the priest to vlog it this sunday. I respect every religion but this vlog in not about encouraging People to go to Church. It should be up to the given individual what they want to do and believe in. It is not up to me or this vlog to determine their choices. This vlog is about showcasing the Church service in a fijian village. Vinaka 😊
