Years ago I got into Dave Chapelle videos on KZbin. All of his popular videos were translated into my language. But this one wasn't. In 2017 my English was probably mediocre for a non-Western dweller. Now with my C1 level It feels great to finally understand what he is saying. And after the years of waiting it didn't disappoint at all, I personally think this is his best show. I love Dave, he's so great.

Almost two decades ago, I was at a New York comedy cellar and the surprise guest was Chris rock, and everyone started screaming. He practiced his bit with us a bit and it was lukewarm, but THEN he said he had another surprise and it was Dave Chapelle. Dave did the thing he did here-sat down, lit a cigarette and started telling stories and engaging with the audience. He was light-years funnier than Chris on this night. About half way through it, and by half way I mean an hour and a half in, when we’d been there for FOUR HOURS because of the original comedy show, then Chris, THEN Dave, my then partner and I had to get up and go home. Dave yelled out to us, “hey! Where you going???” And my bf said “back to her place.” And Dave goes “awwww yeah.” Everyone laughed. Never forgot it and I didn’t even appreciate then how smart he was because I was just out of school. Dave Chapelle is a treasure and a profoundly deep thinker. Appreciate him forever.

@shaunshuping54062 жыл бұрын
Nah, your not..... He's a complex genius that take a minute to figure out how to convey his level of quality in stand-up and of being a sincere honorable person. One of the very few people in all of entertainment that I can go on n about his shows and some of the best lines ever... He's crazy smart and learned how to see between the lines and smell out "bs" when the industry or anyone is trying to "bs" him, he don't take NO shit these days! I LOVE Dave Chappelle, his sketch show back in the day literally cured my legit depression at that era during a really bad time in highschool. Watching his show each week and it had me laughing so hard and so often that after a month of shows it pulled me out of a horrible state of mind and taught me that it's ok to laugh at yourself and try to find a funny positive spin onto a dark situation then move on, instead of dwelling on things and forgetting how to just laugh at life and in general...... I can never say enough good things about him as a human being and regarding his body of work, because his work truly saved me from deciding to commit 'self-harm' when I was initially planning on doing that bad idea..... I was 3 months away from that planned moment, and after watching the show for 3-4 weeks it had completely turned around my whole mood about life in general and of myself,.... Cos ALOT of comedy comes from a dark place most of the time, and from that, I learned that you get over things by letting it roll off your shoulders and then make something hilarious about it to laugh at! The God's honest true, Chappelle saved my life. Then I'd realized what a lil bitch boy decision I'd first made actually really was and I vowed to never let myself be that dude again no matter what life throws me! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤. Thank You Dave Chappelle 🤘🤘🤘🤘

Jose Ross and still got “assassinated” and or replaced. Like he said America creates an environment where dissenters are needed and when they come out they’re killed then we celebrate them. Seems now they found a way to do it in a sneaky way where we think the real ones are still speaking to us when in our heart we know. There gone. His cousin went on radio to tell everyone he was gone, that he was dead that his family was cloned and everyone dismissed her as crazy. Now she’s dead. Truth is dangerous in this country and he along with many others sacrificed their lives to wake us up. We should be grateful for these people for they knew what was coming for trying to help us. Those they reached could list the ones who tried to get us the truth but were killed or “cloned” like Eminem, Gucci Mayne, Kanye West, Bernie Mac just to barely name a few. It’s a strange time we’re in right now in America

What a privilege to be able to chill with Dave for that long. Just take my money and tell where to sign up.

Right? Funny and chill atmosphere, being right there with an icon and having a great night. Worth every cent.

Everyone should watch this. Dave is a linguist, but down to earth as hell. This is gold.

Dave may have been laughing up there but he was dead serious about how the world is being run and who really runs the show. Dave Chappelle is a genius.

This is a master class in weaving in and out of writtens, improv, and crowd interaction. There are some bits here and there you can tell hes testing out to see if they work but a lot of this is improv. Dave is the greatest.

How awesome would this be to go to a comedy show to see Dave Chappelle and end up getting to hang out with him for 4 hours and just shoot the breeze. What a blast! Just sitting here watching the whole thing. I felt like I was there.
