Barbie shows people in pain and suffering -- and actual help -- more compassion than 99.9% of all health care professionals, and in my personal experiences as well, more than 100% of those who profess to be Christians [but that is a topic for a different discussion]. Forget the idiots who think there is only room for one free cleaner on YT! You wear whatever gloves, mask, clothes etc you darn well want and can get for a good price. And even if there were 20 free cleaners in the New York area alone, I think I would watch most of them. All of your videos though as you get stuck in, with both hands, no matter what the situation is. You are just incredible!

Hahaha! That cat is something else. Curious and playful by nature. He or she is checking out everything you're doing. I just finished purging my house. It has been a 2 year process. Pilling the layers back little at a time. What a relief it was to get rid of most of my clothes and other unnecessary things around the house. I'm still going to purge my closet one more time. How many pieces of clothes does one person need to wear in a week? I admire your "Get 'er done" attitude. You jump right in and get it done. BTW... I think your hair is beautiful. Oh No! I looooove the longer videos! I feel anxious when I see the amount of stuff that needs to be cleaned. Then once I can see floor space, I feel like I can breathe. I cleaned our family home which was hoarded in every room and on each level. It was so sad to see! It took 4 years for me to deal with all the garbage, rats, and roaches. So kudos to what you can get done in an 8-hour day!

Before you are cleaning start the Prepare Process. The 3 B's. Begin by collecting Boxes, Bins and Bags needed to store the selection of objects for your Sorting Situation. Sort via 3 Methods to start. 1. Keep 2. Donate 3. Trash Once you have these 3 you can then break each item down into a seperate category. 1. Kitchen 2. Bedroom 3. Living room 4. Bathroom 5. Closet Organizing by where it goes in your house. And seasonal decor seperated into each its own container. I suggest seasonal decor keep for instance: 1.Chrismas in Red plastic bin 2. Thanksgiving in Green bin 3. Spring in Blue bin Clothes: Separate via laundry baskets or bags. If you can color code. Clean: White Dirty: Clear - See it & Do It Use black bags for garbage. Use cardboard boxes for donations.

a suggestion for people who don't have a washer in their apartments. a portable washer that can hook up to a sink. they are a couple hundred dollars. and with just a few washes it would pay for itself. You can get a drying rack or rig up a clothes line, it would save time and money.

Sorting through personal belongings of lost loved ones is so very hard because everything holds a memory of them. It took me years to go through my mum and dads things when I lost them. Only after those years was I ready to look objectively and actually part with things. My condolences to the young lady it must have been terribly hard on her. You did amazing Barbie with this room.

I think part of the problem is a feeling of guilt--like you're not showing respect because you're getting rid of so many of the family member's possessions--that you're erasing them, but you're not. You still have the memories. (My father had us sort through my mother's clothes because it was too painful for him. I think he felt guilty about it.) I've been watching "Swedish Death Cleaning" videos on KZbin that show you how to sort through things while you're alive so your heirs don't have to. My problem is my husband because he likes to keep things. He's not a hoarder, but I'd say there's a little bit of a tendency of being one. I like getting rid of stuff. He doesn't because he thinks he might need it sometime in the distant future.

To the young lady who is living here: I am truly sorry for all that you have had to live through. Learning to love and respect yourself is the most important thing going forward. The pain of this terrible loss will ease with time (not gonna lie, it will always hurt, but you will learn to deal with it). Any help you are offered, take it! (Carefully, of course, make sure to check on who folks really are). Once you are strong again, you can return the love you have been given. Hey, you rock those pink gloves! I don't think you're copying anyone. 🙂 Also pink looks great on you. Anyway, do the negative commenters realize how hard it is sometimes to find gloves to fit smaller hands that AREN'T pink? I don't love pink for myself, but often the only size work or gardening gloves that fit my small hands are pink (or pastel purple). It's a bit silly but oh well! Bright-colored gloves also help the quality of these videos because they help the eye focus on the cleaner's flying hands. The messy rooms are visually confusing sometimes and that bright focus point is great for the viewer.
