There's also the BBT TOC on Oct 14 and 15 so 2 weekends of TOCs. Gonna be a busy 3 weekends.....

Thanks for the great report Ross! I’m hoping they aren’t going to keep the bass in their boats until the tournament is over so they can weigh them. Great hear the lake is still producing and is doing well!

I don’t know of a boat tournament that doesn’t box fish and do weigh ins on Clear Lake.

@@db9818 Well… Ross was saying on another video, that he wished that they wouldn’t box them bc it’s hard on the fish. And I would hope that they wouldn’t have to box them either but unfortunately not.

@@garrett961 I believe he was referring to guys just boxing fish to get their hero shot at the end of the day. I am not a huge fan of weigh ins but it’s just how it’s done. Most clubs could never afford to have certified scales and boat judges. Unfortunately weigh ins are very rooted and getting guys to do a catch photo release style (length) like kayak tournaments will take a while.

@@db9818 Yes, I agree. Kayak tournaments are length, which is great. And as long as the fish are fine and swim off fine then I guess it’s fine to take that end of the day picture . But in some circumstances, it can be very hard on the fish.

@@garrett961 I’d say all of the time boxing fish is hard on them. Then you take them clear across the lake and drop them off in another neighborhood 😂

Nice to see you and Debbie on the same screen. Tell Debbie I said hello. Lake looks nice today. Sounds like you are catching some nice fish. Good to here. I haven't been fishing here in Florida much. To be honest I am not adjusting well to the humidity. We went back to Hawaii in July to visit the son. He decided to stay when we left. Weather was great the entire time until the hurricane went by to the south of us. You probably saw what happen to our old town of Lahaina. We actually left the day of the fire. Well take care.

Really good to hear from you Mike. I’ve visited Florida enough for work to know it won’t work for me. With your active lifestyle the humidity has got to be a booger. I didn’t know that you had landed in Lahaina, awful what happened there. Take care and keep dropping a line once in a while.

@@clearlakeguideservice2509 Yes when we left Clear Lake in 2012 we moved to West Maui. My youngest son soon followed. We left Maui n 2022. The son stayed he loves the life style there. He surf, dives etc. I got tried of the Covid BS there. I couldn't indoor dine until the 3rd week of March 2022 (1 week before I moved to FL). You had to have a vax card to prove it, which I didn't have since I refused the vax. Fake vax cards $5K fine.
