Great video! I am a bright winter. I had been typed as a true summer many years ago, but I struggled to make that Color palette work. Now that I'm wearing bright winter colors my eyes do look bright. However before that I never got compliments on my eyes. They looked dull. An example from your video is the photo of Courtney Cox in the wrong color. One of the reasons I couldn't figure out my season was because I don't gravitate toward wearing bright colors except red at Christmas because of my personality. I knew that true black & white were good colors for me, but I still never got that jewel look of the eyes until I started wearing the most vibrant colors from the bright winter palette. It's been a life-changing discovery and that's why correct color analysis is so important.

Good morning! 🌞 Thanks for your feedback; I really appreciate it. I completely agree with your observations. When deciding on your signature color season and palette, we often intuitively know what looks best on us and are naturally drawn to certain colors. However, we sometimes doubt our instincts due to rigid rules or incorrect color assessments. I was trained to always observe how your eyes react to the colors you wear. If they appear dull or lifeless, you might be in the wrong color season. Additionally, understanding your style personality (which I will cover in my next mini-series, coming soon!) will definitely help you identify your signature color palette. Among a few other assessment tips I utilize on my clients, such as freckles, beauty marks, baby hairs right at the edge of your hairline. Welcome to the community!

@@RenaissanceWomanofStyle Thank you so much! I'm enjoying the series and will look forward to the new one. I really believe once someone knows their season, many things begin to make sense. Why a lipstick color doesn't work. Why you gravitate to certain neutrals. Why it is easier to find clothing at certain times of the year.

Same here. I got that marble look to my eyes when I was draped in the right colours and had the right makeup on. I did always get compliments on my eyes when younger, and have recently started to get them again.

@@cathwalsh9921 Exactly! Thanks for sharing.I knew that I had cool skin tone but was so confused. Some of the tests didn't work such as gold or silver. white or ivory. I always felt they both looked fine. Now I know that bright winters can wear all of those. Summers cannot. There were a few colors in my closet that worked for me and made my eyes look bright, but even good colors for my skin such as black & white still didn't create that vibrant marble look. In the back of my mind I thought I've gotta be a winter since black looks good on me. The older I get the worse pastels look and make me look yellow. I finally decided I just can't be a summer and I've got to figure out what I really am. I'm so glad I did!

@@pajamamama5965 About 25 years ago I was typed as bright spring. I don’t remember her draping me, I think she just eyeballed me. I do have yellow to my skin, which made me think I was warm. More recently I toyed with summer as I didn’t feel l bright enough to be bright anything. Looks can be deceiving! I went to two colour analysts, one typed me as Winter (no subeason) the other Clear and Cool. The Tonal system lady noted that pure white is not the best on me. A soft white is better. I also feel that black is too much. A colour with black as an accent is way better. Black doesn’t do that marble eye effect on me either

This happens to me any orange or muted colors looks awful on me but I still don't believe I could use clear colors😢

I think what confuses me about bright winter is that it flows into spring. A lot of people say Bright Winter can wear warmer colours for that reason. I can’t. So that made me think I’m actually cool winter. But, the taupe shown here was the one colour in my draping session that made me sit up, it looked that good. In the other drapes pure mid grey does nothing for me. Between silver and gold the silver threw up too much grey and, although the gold three up too much gold, it somehow looked better. Yet I don’t look good in a pink lipstick which is only slightly warm. Truly cool lipsticks look better.
