i booked celpip on wednesday evening after getting notification of an available slot for Sunday morning. Was super busy with office and did not get time to prepare at all till friday. On friday evening got wasted with roommate and on saturday went out for a drive with friends. Saturday evening had few beers again. So did not prepare at all, did not check the format properly, just went for the test on sunday morning in a toronto test center. Scored 12 in reading, 11 in hearing, 8 in writing and speaking. On top of that saw shooting of amazon prime series "the boys " season 3 (check it out if you have not watched it yet) in toronto downtown before the exam. And my schooling was in bengali medium.

@@shivanisharma622 actually, I found speaking hard in celpip, rest all areas are easier than IELTS, writing is the easiest in celpip, but ironically, writing was the area where I failed 😂 and speaking was the area where I surprisingly scored well. If you are confident and scoring 8 in speaking in IELTS, then only go for celpip, because you will pass the writing section, but you might never get through the speaking because it's way harder than IELTS speaking. If you aren't getting good scores in speaking, just stick to IELTS and continue practicing writing and speaking. Trust me, you'll save yourself a lot of time

There Official KZbin channel is also very helpful apart from content available on their website.. very details videos for each module for different target scores.. My wife and I were able to do good enough in our first attempts with very minimal preparation.. Mostly with one of their sample paper which comes free with test booking and rest is youtube videos..

It is simple, IELTS is judged by human and exam council wants more money as they know we indians would pay anything to migrate abroad. So they deliberately don't give 8777 giving less marks in writing/speaking that's where the human factor comes in. One of my desperate friend took the exam 10 times to get the bands.
