Clearin' Trails in East Tennessee!

I'm a freshly certified cross-cutter (aka sawyer). Although I have been clearing trees for years now, the courses I took taught me a few more techniques and even how to fell trees too!
The Appalachian Mountain Bike Club needed a hand with some fallen trees so I grabbed my gear and got to work. I'm excited to be able give back to the trails that got me into mountain biking.
The 2nd tree would've made for more suspenseful viewing but my GoPro battery died. It was a big one and it took some very strategic cuts to not drop it on myself.

@@A.T.TrailWorks was there last 2 weeks ago, the trail is in a mess...yeah wonder why they didn't maintain it😔

@@kevinhys7260 The whole mtb community can help to maintain. No one is gonna get mad if someone clears a fallen tree our cuts back the grass.

@@A.T.TrailWorks yeah, we tried to clear some fallen trees with just barehands as we didn't bring any tools. Some are way too big...mayb next trip we will try to bring some tools to clear the path...
