Clearing A Clogged AC Condensate Drain

Here I am showing how I clear a clogged ac condensate drain line and P-trap. During a PM I found this air conditioning condensate drain line clogged. Therefore I need to clear the gunk in the AC Condensate Drain line trap. I snake the ac P-trap with a big zip tie used for connecting HVAC flexible ductwork. Afterward, I flushed a gallon of hot water into the drain cleanout. Pouring water into the condensate trap will wash away the gunk which was clogging up the trap making a restriction. This is the best maintenance to keep the drain line clean. Don't forget the trap on an air conditioning drain if plugs solid will cause water to leak into an emergency pan or through the ceiling. Water leaking from the ​air conditioner causes lots of damage.
