APRIL 2021 Join us for a rare Full length movie or a project day of clearing land for new food plots here at my friend Curtis' 101 acre Southern Illinois hunting property. Today we'll be using my Bobcat mini excavator (Bobcat e42 mini excavator) and Curtis Kioti tractor (Kioti RX6620 utility tractor) to clear land of trees and autumn olive bushes to connect multiple food plots for deer and make one future large food plot with multiple finger directions for his awesome Southern Illinois hunting land! Today is a rare, full length movie with this land clearing project so be sure to let us know if you enjoy the longer video or our usual shorter ones, we really appreciate that feedback. This is a really great piece of hunting land that has an abundance of deer bedding habitat, but does not have any decent food sources, i.e. food plots as of yet. So we will tag team with my Bobcat mini excavator and his new/used Kioti RX6620 utility tractor and we will create a big clearing that will connect multiple smaller food plot fingers together to form one large, odd shaped food plot. Recently he had a forestry mulcher come in to create the beginning of this big food plot, but the mulcher ended up leaving many larger trees and invasive species such as some BIG autumn olive bushes that I had to tackle with the Bobcat e42 mini excavator. Also we will be field testing the Kioti tractor by pushing over a large hardwood tree and doing some dirt grading and light land clearing with the tractor as well. Thanks for joining us, don't forget to hit the Like button, and comment if you enjoy our content! Thank you! This really helps us on this crazy KZbin platform! Thank you! Also consider subscribing to follow all of our Illinois and Kentucky land management projects, Food plots, waterfowl ponds and food plots, deer food plots, Bobcat T650 CTL skid steer projects, Bobcat e42 Mini Excavator projects, Branson tractor projects, DIY rustic home decor, Kentucky farmhouse rehab projects, DIY rustic barn wood projects, Excavation projects, DIY landscaping, and much more country living adventure! Thank you. Kapper Outdoors, living the dream, one acre at a time.

So much work has gone into getting this bush under control. Hardly possible without heavy equipment. It's a shame about the occasional beautiful trees, but the clearings create space for a lot of other life. Nice job K&C!

Yep you are correct on that. I used to do light land clearing like this with a chainsaw!! LOL. Most of these trees are scrub trees anyways and the new food sources will benefit wildlife much more. Thanks.

You cleaned that up really well and the tractor should make it look a lot better. Lots of time before deer season opens. If he had a small two tooth ripper behind the tractor he could clear a lot of those small roots before he when and planted it.
@kapperoutdoors
@kapperoutdoors 3 жыл бұрын
Yep I told him he could borrow my old home made ripper that would do just the trick. Although with me pulling the stumps and him scraping it, it is really coming out pretty darn clean. Cheers

95.5K April 24th 2021. When Curtis was pointing out what he wanted removed, I thought well he should just paint on tree a color Kapper could tell that he wanted saved. That conversation reminded me of when Beavis and Butthead told the neighbor they trim his trees. Neighbor comes out, all the trees cut down! ❤️

Food plot................I will have to trust you on this. It looks like no tree is safe but I am sure that your plan will work out without my understanding. I am not a hunter. I just buy mounts on eBay. Right now I am going to do some metal art on my CNC plasma cutter; a goose. Good job on the video. 😃😃😃😃

Put aPirannah tooth bar on that loader bucket. It will make it much more efficient. I have one on my DK4510 and it my opinion doubles the digging capacity of the loader.

Well Kapper..i think it's time i spent some of your interest in the bank lol . As often as you two are clearing properties...i think a forestry mulcher on the skidsteer would be the perfect purchase . It would save lots of time and effort...follow up with a york rake and no brush piles to deal with . When you order it..add a 54 inch tiller as well..my birthday's in june 😁😁

Been watching your videos since the start of the pickers paradise now and I like what you’re doing , if this land clearing is what you’re investin* into I’d add some kind of industrial chipper /mulched and maybe a tip truck or trailer to save on some cost saving to hire skip bins etc , I’m sure you could have made some extra cash back on scrap metal and clean up costs may have equaled out significantly, I use to do demolition and salvage for a business before they bring in the accreditation card idea here in Australia, and initially invested into my dads old business to keep him going as he had wound down business to go into semi retiring because he had no inclination into hiring young blood to train up, the new laws changed a lot and work methods change so walking walls became illegal and second hand buildin* materials harder to offload thanks to government intervention,, I sold my skid steer and tipper but I’ve kept my dads tools of trade , a modified miners pick and modified hatchet axe and a few business cards lol . Great videos and great to see Curtis operating machinery...cheers from down under...

Thanks for joining us appreciate it. This is a side business but mostly just a hobby to keep me busy for a few hours here and there. I definitely don't want a full blow business for this stuff. Much better to just do a few gigs here and there. Take care.

Should Curtis be running RPMs so low, when running at this lower RPM do you find that you have to regenerate more often? I just bought a 7320 and was wondering about the regeneration.
@kapperoutdoors
@kapperoutdoors 3 жыл бұрын
yes you are right, these tractors want to be run at or near full RPM's to stay hot! So the more you run at higher RPM, the better the regen cycles will be. Thanks.
