Yeah that was added in the update that was released when the Switch version came out. It's on the left side of the inventory slots and you can expand the full inventory or filter it by item type

​​@@user-tg7cv9gu8f it is. However, the autosort function added with 4.0 is amazing. You have to put things in the right container manually a couple times and it gets confused if you have things in multiple containers, but once it sorts itself out, everything goes exactly where it belongs!

The number 1 thing I think NMS needs the most is more exploration uses, i.e. POIs, perhaps procedurally generated "dungeons" and buildings that you need to explore to get unique blue prints. But also natural landmarks. These planets are large but just seem "sprinkled" with tiny little outposts. I want a reason to go exploring on your own more I guess with some large and fancy locations

I'm still waiting for starship customization. Actually I would like to be able to build a ship, kitbash parts but make it a grinding side-objective or something. It would be nice to have the option of repainting our starships! Why that has never been added is beyond me. We can color our freighters! But not our starships. I think we need more building options for making bases, particularly the large room structures (ie. cylindrical and square rooms) by making them either scalable or expandable with more open space by connecting them to the side of each other. I'd like to see the corridors have a vertical angle option. Maybe some more diverse planets -- ie. double ringed, IDK. More unique and diverse stuff would be awesome.

Sail preview has been around for a little while, but I remember thinking the same thing when the Solar Ships first came out. Sail shape is very important. 😅

PLEASE ask for a revision of the portal interface its so counter intuitive and i almost ALWAYS lose track of systems especially since there is no way to sort or rename space stations in the teleport menu

Many, many people disagree on that, because it would ruin their 'ship hunting'. My idea would be that you only can use colors and parts from ships you own or ships you have scrapped, that would still preserve some hunting aspect but would allow us to make a ship we actually want.

Yeah I noticed this as well.....and hell if I didn't celebrate just a little too. But hey, if you've got sway mate I say put it to good use. Plenty of good ideas, mine I'd like to see build-able star ships. Make it so if you wanna build one first you have to salvage one and pay to recover the parts as options, but it's a random parts given. Then have a new room on your freighter you have to build where you add the parts you want (in the ship type) and wait for it to build. How long it takes could also be a thing. One can dream though

With all that said can you make a video asking Sean to allow us to store items in the lockboxes, footlockers, locker units, and crates we have in the decoration menu? And to allow us to retract the solar sails during combat but at the cost of higher pulse drive fuel usage?

This happened to me with dungeons and dragon's online. I discussed in forums an adventure I hosted crossing two well known worlds in a very very specific way. About 10 months later the underdark expansion released crossing ebberon and faerun using the lords of dust and lloth the faerun goddess of chaos. (D&D jargon acknowledged) but the similarities of destroying the alters to release the lords and key characters from the franchise were to much to consider simple coincidence. I was so excited to see our groups adventure made 3d, it's the only pre-purchase I've ever made on a game.

That’s awesome. And just yesterday I was in the middle of a corrupted sentinel battle and at some point, a similar creature just died of old age right above us too. Such a shame. But I said exactly the same thing “Wish we could ride that!” Now if they could just fix the thumbnails for our bases. Or give us more than 16 characters to name it. :p GekPtnmMine is descriptive but tells me nothing about what else the base can do.

They need a freighter overhaul; sure, the new pieces are nice looking and functional, but 1: they don’t flush well with the rest of the freighter (hangar and bridge), and 2: those two mentioned areas are severely outdated (expand the hangar bay, add more starship spots?). Same with frigate interiors (mostly exterior catwalks and such) Also, the textures for my sentinel freighter look old and the exterior of the build area is stays red. So much room for improvement but they’ll get to it hopefully?

Thing I want. Buildable weapon rack to display YOUR Found Multi Tools... I mean i know there's one with generic ones but... It would be cool... Tamable sea creatures combined with buildable aquarium where you can keep them... And for the love of god increase number of frigates you can have... They need to make storage inventory usable within your base anywhere. Crafting is always convoluted because you have to open separate inventories and transfer items into open inventory before using said item. Would also be fine with usable shelves and cabinets or smaller storage containers so I could put items where they're needed most.

Upgrade your freighters item teleportation thingy, build storage units on your freighter. As long as your freighter is in the system, you can craft within your freighters menu without having to transfer any items out of storage containers and then you throw crafted item over to your exosuit etc

How about to update teleport screen? I wish to see each starbase photo in the list instead of yellow squares. This will be more informative (you can visually remember starbase from your favorite system and find it faster in the list). Wold be nice to have "favorite" mark for spacestations in teleport list. And be able to filter this tag. And, finally: when specestation is selected - show planets in this system on left hand side.

solar ships are nice but the sails somehow eat up a TON of screen space in cockpit view in space despite even if a ships sails are very wide away from the cockpit they eat up way too much field of view in some ships and that should be adjusted otherwise they are nice def have stupid high maneuvering and decent dmg and good jump range it is squishy tho for flying around id say they are great but combat id still stay a sentinel ship beats them out given how good the shield and its overall stats are

Thats an improvement that feels more like righting a wrong. Maybe you could make a request that I've been banding around for a while A toggle to control how much your exosuit talks to you! I personally don't need constantly reminding that my toxic protection is falling. To be able to toggle that on or off would be a small update that would make a big impact .

I still want a mode where you can experience each update. Like you start with the original game. Then whenever you want you can go to the next update. But you can have 2 multitools and 2 ships to start out with. And you get to have the creature taming as well. And of course the new settings menu as well

Cool, now ask them to let me Reconfigure Controls on PS4. namely I'd like the ability to swap the Thumbsticks in Spaceship mode. So that they operate the same as in Walking mode. ATM: when walking, left stick is moveing, and right stick is rotating. while when spaceship, left stick is rotating, and throttle is some buttons. I want: when spaceship, right stick is rotating (same as when walking) and left stick is a throttle (analogous to when walking) -see how wonderfully intuitive that would be? Please let sean know, he doesn't seem to notice when I post this on reddit.....

I found a white ish solar ship a rank with all 4 sc slots dead center in a block. I couldn’t believe my luck. Love the solar ships to. The sentinel ships are fun and very strong but this solar ship I found/bought is so cool. Looks like the Cadillac of solar ships 😅

Interceptors will be the preferred ships going forward I think because they can hover. Every other ship just can't compare. On the topic of solar ships, I like the idea, but they look retarded if doing anything other than cruising; ie: fighting; they're too immersion breaking as the sail component wouldn't behave as seen ingame.

Is my save just broken? Because for about a week I could preview the sails. But after that, it started previewing the shape for me, but not the color. Also, after about an hour of playing in the Xbox X, the frame rate permanently drops to about 20 - 30 FPS until I restart the game. I know others have had that issue though.

They've added so much the game is absolutely great but... i just want to paint my ships. You can paint your freighter and your exocraft. I dont want to alter parts, that would take away from hunting for cool looking ships. I just want to paint them. They have colour regions. Please 🙏

Considering the stats of interceptor ships compared to ANYTHING else....who cares about any old ship? The interceptor are so good Sean probably found the definition of the term "power creep" and said "yes". Same goes for the Multitool. The sentinel stuff makes an alien Multitool look like a nerf toy. Why would you even bother. Looks should always come second after performance. Always. That's why a interceptor with a square supercharger layout is pretty much unbeatable in the game right now. Press F for respects for all the other old stuff.

If only they would fix 4 year old issues with the VR implementation... like being able to see cargo pod contents, build mode camera, rename discoveries, or a way to communicate with other players that doesn't involve being in a group with them... basic stuff that would take probably minutes to fix but 4 years later and we still can't do these simple things.

This game would be a 10/10 for me, if they added humans to it, human settlements & towns & unique collectables, I haven't met any human's so far, just seeing the same alien lifeforms gets tedious & repetitive, I also think we should be able to save our position during Nexus missions, instead of starting back at the anomaly, because the game is still very buggy & does crash at least once or twice during each playthrough for me. js

Bought this game a little over a year ago, just to play with a friend(who...for some reason, is obsessed with this game.) It got old...really quickly...as the graphics suck, no storyline and a sh*t-load of grinding & menu-diving. It wasn't long before I abandoned the game. Then...a year later, after some supposed improvements...I re-downloaded it and wasn't impressed. Though I love open worlds, NMS is painfully boring and the graphics are on par with Starlink(but to Starlink's credit at least, the game was fun...as it has a good story & voice acting and even though there is plenty of rpg-grinding & such...it is presented in a stream-lind and fun manner.) The first EverSpace has graphics that blow NMS out of the water and is so much more fun(despite it not being an open-world game.) Now that Everspace 2 is out, I think NMS is doomed, as EverSpace 2 absolutely destroys NMS in every aspect. EverSpace 2 is pretty much everything NMS is(but with better graphics, a story, an open world with the ability to construct space stations and it's just a great action-arcade-style game.) NMS is a raging piece of sh*t, in contrast to Everspace 2.
