Most SSI recipients aren’t taxed on this income. Understanding the SSW form will help you understand why most of these people don’t pay tax on this income unless they have employment or other pension income. Even then the tax on SSI is minimal. Taxing 50% or 85% of SSI means nothing as the income almost never exceeds their standard deduction meaning they end up having 0 income to tax and no tax liability. Politicians know most people don’t understand any of this so he can say anything but tax things that really matter such as unrealized capital gains but he doesn’t want hurt the mouths that feed him as all he!! Will break loose. Avmericans are being so ripped off it’s not even funny.

A lot of waiters/waitresses like the system the way it is. If you put it to a vote among them, they would prefer to keep things the way they are + no tax on tips. I’ve heard of tons of waiters and waitresses bringing in hundreds of dollars each night in tips alone, more than if they were paid hourly. Of course this varies upon location, with larger cities and more popular restaurants having more of these people and smaller towns with less popular restaurants wouldn’t have the same opinion.

Thank you for your videos mate.... With Trump's presidency, economic shifts are expected to be significant, especially given the current recession and the potential impact of future rate cuts. Although rate cuts might not boost inflation as hoped, they may lead banks to further restrict consumer and corporate lending, contributing to a deflationary period for various assets. This environment could result in declining stock values, retail and housing sales, and rising unemployment due to layoffs. For investors, a diversified portfolio especially with stocks and cryptocurrencies offers some protection, serving as a hedge amid volatility. Both long- and short-term trading strategies can help manage risks, providing stability as markets adjust. I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 130k to a decent 732k in the space of a few months... The tax bracket commenter is correct. But it does disincentivize extra work when the tax rate will go up (potentially) on that money. It’s insane to take more from those who work more. That whole higher income bracket should not even kick in until your over 100k and slightly then maybe more at 500k. It’s not right to take more from workers making 80k which is not even middle class now

Now proper pay structuring is going to be punished and now this really would be an issue ... It is just insane. Same ideas with overtime pay. Now you are rewarded for over working your employees. It just makes sense to pay lower, do some creative scheduling and lower pre overtime work to capitalize on the free money your business gets on payroll. And how would salary fall in line here, specifically the dumb areas of salary where they don't really have a "cush job". Makes it a weird interaction overall. And multi job holders. I’ve been hearing a lot about Roth IRA conversions lately, but I’m confused about whether it’s the right move for me. I’m 47, with a decent 401(k) and a modest traditional IRA. With taxes likely going up in the future, should I start converting now, or am I too late?
@DonaldStokes-p

It’s not too late! The key is balancing the tax hit now with long-term benefits. Converting to a Roth IRA can help lock in today’s tax rates, but you have to be careful about bumping into a higher tax bracket. Timing and planning are critical here,consider speaking with a financial advisor

Exactly! One mistake I see people make is converting too much at once and triggering a big tax bill. Another is forgetting how those conversions could impact Medicare premiums or Social Security taxation later. Trump's tax cuts do help you if you are employed. The individual deduction was doubled. Except eliminating taxes on Social security payments, no other tax break will help majority of middle class.

eliminating taxes on social security will kill social security faster. That will crush the middle class since the vast majority of people rely on social security when they retire

YAY - no more heavy taxing seniors who work on social security paid to the govt over decades.

This is moronic. Most seniors don’t make enough from ss to get taxed, just the richer ones. Additionally the SS taxes from the wealthy funds helps fund social security. If this gets passed social security will drop to 85% payouts by 2030.

@@catherineburkehomes True, I'm surprised this was not mentioned. Trump has stated many times "I hated to give overtime" "I used to hate to pay overtime" "i used to go out and get people to work regular time" and this was repeated throughout multiple campaign speeches. It is likely going to be that your company will pay 1x rate, but encourage overtime by letting the income be tax free, you will get paid less under the illusion of not being taxed, while the company makes $$$
