I remember my test I thought I'd failed in the first 5 minutes. There were also 3 more occasions where I thought I'd screwed up badly enough to get a major. Literally when the examiner said congratulations, you've passed, I had to stop myself being like "Are you sure? Because I'm pretty certain I did a lot of things wrong." Of the four things I did which I thought were majors, 2 were only minors and 2 weren't marked as faults at all. Well done Erin!

This is stuff I highlight to all my learners. It doesn't matter if you have your moments - all the examiner cares about is if you're able to control the vehicle and make safe, informed choices. I remember my learner test missing a woman crossing until fairly late and braking harshly, jamming a gear, and steering slightly late into one bend, and none of it got marked as a fault. It's all about how your driving makes the examiner feel.

@@cheekykiki5951 absolutely, I think it made the rest of my test so much better. I didn't worry or second-guess anything because I did 90% of it just thinking yeah whatever, I've already definitely failed. Couldn't believe it when it turned out I'd passed.

@@abbiecampfield8955 stalling is a matter of getting used to each particular car, as clutch is releasing at different points and you need different amount of gas in each different car, it shouldn't be a fault ever as long as you can recover, I'm glad you had sensible examiner😅

This is one the most wholesome videos I've ever seen on youtube! Erin I never doubted you would pass, could tell you know how to drive no problem! @@paulstelian97 the only good thing about the way we do it is it's a graduated liscencing system. So first you get your learners then a year later(8 months with drivers ed) you take a road test. That gives you a provisional liscence allowing to drive with a few restrictions(0% BAC, limits on passengers, and more expensive insurance) then finnaly you take another test to get your full liscence. All three tests are jokes. The only silver lining is that most people do drivers ed cause it saves them monney on insurance.

Congratulations! You deserved to pass and I'm very pleased for you. You had an excellent teacher and I hope that you give her a nice present to acknowledge that. The hard work starts now though. If you remember everything you've been taught whenever you get behind the wheel, you'll have a long and safe driving experience. Ignore the idiots that we all see who are in too much of a hurry, or who think the rules don't apply to them. Don't have any alcohol whatsoever (ignore those who say that one drink doesn't matter - it does - and put your mobile away, in silent mode whenever you're using your car.) Hi, I watched this video 3 days ago because I wanted to time Erin's videos with the time leading my driving test. And then yesterday I passed first go! I'm in Australia and have been driving on and off for over a decade. Even though your roads and rules are different in the UK (but we both drive on the left so that's helpful), I still found your videos really helpful, especially with technique and spotting hazards. Also, your videos were so entertaining, especially with Erin. I didn't get to watch all of Erin's videos before my test but now I relax more while I watch them. :)
