Darrell, unfortunately unless what’s found was from more recent years, like 1700’s, there’s just no way of knowing. Most of the stuff I find is from the middle archaic period, 10,000 to around 3500 years ago. We don’t even know if there were tribes. We can only put the clues together and try to figure it out. It’s all good, just some spots better than others. Inside of large bends are best, as not as much logs and rubbish washed in. I can’t point you to any exact spots, as I only know my area. @@outdoorxpursuit I know several guys that just go up an down the river on all the beaches. I have a permission at the place I drive to because I walk across the property to access the river. I’m not telling you to trespass or anything but from what I’ve seen, if you access the bank from a boat is easier. I’ve met a few land owners while surface hunting the beaches and they have never said anything except,” please don’t leave trash. I don’t do any real deep sand sifting unless I have a permission, just rinse a little with a bucket.But, while surface hunting from a boat, I’ve never had anyone tell me to leave. Its not allowed to do that on our river but id like to carry my pressure washer and spray the silt off everything
@cleggsadventures3 жыл бұрын
I thought of that but I doubt it’s allowed we just have small beaches here with mud and sand. Rinse it one day and it’s covered again the next. If someone was digging into the hillside bank, it would probably be frowned on but not sure. The rinsing with a bucket, you can go hard or just lightly. I like that control. I found it takes a lot of water volume rather than pressure.Thanks for commenting Jimmy 👍
