Clem's fills and cymbal-work were what first drew me to Blondie starting with the very first album. The drumming has always really stood out for me, and I'm no drummer. Brian Downey is another of my favorite drummers that need more recognition.

Superb drummer.King of the hyat and cymbles. In fact he was the sound of Blondie as a band .Not many drummers have that honour.Maybe Bev Bevan of ELO or John Bonham of Led Zep but all very different styles.

I need to go to a Blondie show. Great music, and you get to watch Clem do his thing. I would like to think there would be two huge screens on either side of the stage, one for the usual stuff, and one for the “Clem Cam” so you can watch Clem from every angle…like at a football game where that camera zips around and follows players. Wouldn’t that be cool?
