Man the hellion drop with no micro and 2k+ unspent ressurces was a dead give away that this was one of the bottom leagues. This was an obvious as a silver league game as you ever get. I was also a bit confused when Harstem was suggesting adding Ghosts or Ravens when I was like, yeh these guys do not have the mechanics at all to control those units.

Trying to get cleaner with my base production and add on swaps while I micro either a lib or 8 marine drop. Not touching (95% of the time) the Raven till I make diamond if I ever manage to.

I mean that toss sucked but you can easily get diamond by playing mass carriers. They just need to macro much better, build batteries to support cannons, get some splash, and not make 20 cannons at the 8 minute mark.

I think the North-American air really messed with Harstem's brain. The first game was mass carriers and you don't ever see this being played in Diamond, unless it's some troll smurfing. And the second game about ling/bane micro... well, people do that in ZvZ a lot. It's really not THAT hard. I was off by one division for both...

Harstem, consider that maybe those 3 sets of lings were all rallied to different locations and AUTOMATICALLY moving on their own independantly. The fact that they weren't microing those roaches and were floating money and incapable of holding off the aggression to the point of constantly attacking rather than moving to a more macro-style game tells me they aren't top tier skilled. The APM was in the 50s for both players when there was no action going on. The supply stayed low. None of the banelings did substantial damage. Worker count for the opponent that wasn't getting blasted with units was 30-40. This is high level for sure, but it was not masters.

We regularly get this suggestion and we have discussed it in detail. But especially vs the world Shows, that Harstem is incredibly inconsistent with his guesses. His guess Changes by as much as 2 leagues from one week to another. And he admits that himself. Also, it would mean that he could easily manipulate the result for his friends or people he wants back on the show. And even If he would not do that on purpose, there is no way telling, if it wouldn't happen subconciously. So all in all, we fully ruled this out as an alternative to the current system.

But why would someone on Masters-level build nearly only stalkers against hydras? Am I missing something here? Hydras are light unit. Stalkers do extra damage vs armored. Also hydras have the highest burst damage but are slow. So either I would get adepts as they do additional damage vs light units, or I would get immortals as they have a cap on damage but are vulnarable to fast weak attacks or probably 1 immortal front and the adepts in the back.

Hydras out range adepts so in high number the adepts derp and die to hydras. Also no one goes pure hydra at high level they usually mix in other units Also stalker are a much better unit overall, very good defensive because of blink and are much more adaptable to different situations than adepts that basically become useles after 7 minutes

Nobody expects a Hydra drop to be fair. The blink stalkers are an OK-ish all-around unit that can at least shoot the dropperlords. He mixed in chargelots, archons, and storm by the end too.

Sure. Since not everyone has the time to watch every single episode of the season every single week over 16 weeks, everyone gets their worst 2 guesses ignored. So that you can miss up to 2 episodes and still be in the running! So the first number is your official score without you worst 2 guesses/weeks so farm - while the number in the brackets is ALL of your guesses including your 2 worst. This is used as a tiebreaker. Hope that clears everything up! ^^
