And at some stage I really had this “oh yes, this is an Ormonde Jayne” feeling. We’ll see 😂. Out of the three I had on my arms my teenage son liked this the most, whatever that means 😂

I prefer Ormonde Jayne Vanille Iris to the new vanilla scent. I hear it is the same, but more vanilla than iris. I have tested them side by side as I have maybe 10 ml left of my discontinued Vanille Iris. I am now obsessed with Memo Paris after getting Sherwood via a swap and blind buying Cappadocia (because of you). Now I want that vanilla you mentioned. Memo is very kind to send me Kotor to test, but I am too late now to request the vanilla. Is it blind buy worthy? Sand and Skin was a bit light for my taste (that's what happens when your nose is 63 years old!!). I love Arquiste's Architects Club, reminds me of my very first niche scent Eau Duelle. Fun review as always!!!

A single note series like this would be wonderful! Explaining the production or chemistry of the note and then listing your favorite fragrances that highlight that note is a really helpful combo. Also, I’ve read that “bourbon vanilla” actually refers to Madagascar vanilla. Do you know if that’s true?

I was referring to the reunion vanilla being the original bourbon vanilla (where it’s originally coming from) , locations can make the smell different and I should have precised that !! Vanilla! Vanilla is my best note, it seems - a huge amount of my most complimented fragrances contain a prominent vanilla. It was pointed out to me by a brand sales manager, a very masculine gay man who was flirting with me 😂 a first 😆 I needed Material, I tried it out at Neiman Marcus in Boston once, and a woman came up to me and said she needed to know what I was wearing 😅 vanilla! So needed this vid today ❤
