@@Josephied Yes, I would sack him as this squad cannot play 4-2-3-1. It is much cheaper and quicker to replace the manager, than to replace an entire team. We sack Clement, and find a manager who can get more from these players. Gerrard and Beale used a 4-3-3 that attempted to play through the middle of teams and break the low block that way. I feel we should go back to that, and could have some success with these players if we did. We cannot have success with this 4-2-3-1 kicking the ball in to wide areas and losing the midfield battle. Clement a going to get sacked, it’s inevitable.

Passes were terrible in 1st half. The 2nd half they kept it down more and tried to make things happen but we have a forward line which cannot hold onto the ball. A defence that is weak physically. 2 CMs who get zero support and movement around them.

Why the fuck was he on the bench if the manager had no intention of using him? Imagine being a youngster waiting for your chance and a player you know isn't going to get minutes still gets on the team sheet ahead of you.. I really want Clement to succeed but he's looking like another Beale in disguise, talk's utter nonsense even though we can all see how bad it is and his team selections/tactics are down right mystifying, we also seem to be the only club in the country that needs 6 months/a year for players to settle yet heart's played a boy they signed an hour before the game

This man told us that a proper pre-season would fix everything. Turns out his pre-season was a fucking joke, and we are even worse than last year. Clement is another Warburton playing one formation the 4-2-3-1 and we just don’t have the players to make it work. Any other manager would change the system, get the most of the players, but Clement is out of ideas. In a few weeks Rangers will be out of Europe, and will have lost to Celtic at Parkhead in a few weeks, and Clement will be nearing the exit door.

Rangers done the same thing but just failed to capitalise on it, or that European final and the revenue it brought. Rangers have the exact same revenue streams that Celtic have. @@MrBucha1980 GVB had his famous horseshoe formation. A poacher in the box, and the full-backs endlessly crossing the ball. During one of GVB’s final games we crossed the ball about 80 times in 90 minutes. Would giving GVB more money have helped? No. He was being outdone by Ange, a better coach. I don’t believe Phil Clement is a good manager at all. There was someone on the Gallant Pioneers podcast who works in football, at Queens Park, knows head coaches in France, etc. That guy spoke for 30mins on the failings of Phil Clement’s tactics. Teams play a compact low block against us and are happy to surrender the wings. So we play in to their hands with this 4-2-3-1 formation. The wide players get the ball but can go nowhere with it. This is why Gerrard and Beale played a more narrow 4-3-3 with two number 10s. You need to play through the low block. I feel Clement does not know Scottish football well enough and is just repeating mistakes we have seen other coaches make in the past. We need to sit and watch it all go wrong, hope he corrects it, or find a replacement. It’s just horrible because this season will be a disaster. Celtic are going to run away with this and we will fall apart.
