Thank you for this wonderful set of sonatas. There seems to be a mistake in the listing of works, not only here but on the other platforms where this recording can be listened to. The work listed as Sonata in D Op. 40 No. 3 at 01:04:31, 01:05:45, 01:13:42 & 01:21:36, is the Sonata in B-flat major Op. 46. That does not detract from these beautiful pieces of music!

hello? My name is Jeongmin Lee! A few days ago, I asked in a comment what the name of the piano was! I asked this because after listening to this KZbin audio, the piano and tone I normally hear seemed unique and different! I want to try playing on this piano in the future. So I will ask you the name of this piano.

hello? My name is Jeongmin Lee and I live in Korea. As someone who loves music, there are things I feel and have questions about. This KZbin sound source seems to have a lower pitch than what I usually hear. The music you usually listen to is probably 440 or 442HZ. It seems to be a much lower frequency than 440. What I wonder is whether the player played on a piano tuned to a lower frequency than 440. I really like this frequency music. Unlike the 440HZ that I often hear, the energy is stable and the music itself seems more classical, so the more I listen to this type of music, the more I want to listen to it again. What I'm curious about is that the piano seems to have a completely different frequency and tone than the Yamaha, Kawai, or Steinway we are used to. I would appreciate it if you could tell me in detail what the exact name is. Because, like them, I really want to enjoy the cultural life of playing at frequencies lower than 440, so please give me more detailed information. What on earth is the name of this piano?

hello? My name is Jeongmin Lee and I live in Korea. I really like music. Among them, the music I'm listening to now, unlike the music I usually listen to, seems to have a much lower pitch height and frequency than 440HZ! The piano tone somehow feels like a harpsichord. It was great to experience different music from what I usually listen to! What would have happened if the performer had lowered it himself? When tuning a piano, the most common method is to tune it to 440HZ. I asked the piano tuner to tune it lower than 440HZ, and he said that it is not always desirable! When I listen to music tuned lower than 440HZ, my energy stabilizes and it feels different and more classical than usual! It's music that fits my sensibility perfectly. It is questionable whether there has ever been a piano suitable for tuning lower than 440HZ. Most of them are 440HZ, such as Kawai, Yamaha, Steinway, and Wesendorf. I have a Kawai grand piano at home. Could you please tell me the model of the piano used in this piece? I really like the music I’m listening to right now! I also really like the piano tone. So please share the information. For your information, I'm not good at English, but when I come across information in a foreign language like this, I use Google Translate to get the information! I would like to inform you that all current comments are being written through Google Translator. thank you

Hello Jeongmin Lee, I trust you are well. This is a fortepiano and different from modern pianos, it was used by Mozart, Clementi, Beethoven, etc back in the day. There are many differences from a modern piano, too much for one post. But about the frequency, in the past stringed instruments used lower tension because neither the strings nor the frame could withstand such forces without breaking. Today the manufacturing methods of strong steel for string and frame are better. Of course this changes not only the position of the harmonic series but spectrum (including harmonicity), sustain and more.

@@danielstrasser7998 Thank you very much for the good information. In my country, Korea, there are no opportunities to play a fortepiano. Now, I am very curious about how these KZbinrs were able to find and play these instruments that were created in the era of classical composers, rather than modern instruments. Wouldn't the average person think that fortepianos that existed hundreds of years ago could still exist today? I really wonder if there were any small or medium-sized companies that copied the instruments used in that era!

Hello? My name is Jeongmin Lee, who lives in Korea. There is one thing I want to ask you. When you listen to classical music, some have lower frequency than the standard, and some have higher frequency. When I hear it, I feel at peace! This frequency!... Can you tell me what HZ tuning this is based on?! In reality, on average, how many HZ do you use as a standard? I don't know exactly, but I've heard that 440HZ was used around 1955 and 442HZ was used in 1990... Anyway, I like that frequency on KZbin so much that I have to boil the music based on that frequency!

Mastroprimiano plays the fortepiano beautifully and for once I see its merits and appropriateness: delicate, lithe, witty and even at times mournful.

Very beautil interpretation!who's the pianist? I know when Clementi played forte piano coupled with Mozart,people said that Clementi was homo mechanicus instead of Mozart who fascinated the public for his feeling in the rendition music pieces

Gastro Mastroprimiano is the pianist. Oddly enough, it is refreshing to listen to the pyrotechnics of Clementi after wallowing in the feelings of Mozart!
Clementi is very much admired by Beethoven and Vladimir Horowitz.

Whats going on with the piano? Sounds out of tune or as if something is interfering with the strings.
@rowanbelt3612 Жыл бұрын
It’s a fortepiano i.e. an early form of piano, like what Clementi would have played and composed this music for. It has a variety of differences in construction that result in the sound differences you mentioned.
