This cut dark ending just instills the ‘let’s kill everyone’ motto that eventually put me off the series. Why bother giving a damn about anybody if they’re going to wind up dead for drama? I get it, have characters die, but Season 2 of the game is what really killed my love for the game at the time because Clementine was back where she started again for a second time, and the story didn’t really develop much of anything after showing lots of promise at the start. What I am so, so thankful about, is that The Final Season did what I wanted Season 2 to do, which is for Clementine by the end to find family/friends in others where she could belong, with the added bonus of a place to call home. Admittedly I struggled to feel as invested as before, but I’m so happy Clem got the ending she fought so hard for and deserved.

I feel like if clementine were to die in any of the seasons it would ruined season 1. Lees death is devastating, but he dies truly believing he’s given this girl a chance, and we leave the game feeling we’ve hiven her a chance. To have Clem die makes lees death feel as though it was in vain. Even though I guess it’s more realistic (??) I just think that it lessens the emotions of season 1.

I would have been traumatized for life if they went with that ending for Clem and A.J.! So happy it wasn't meant to be. The only way they could have feasibly done an ending where Clem dies would be an ending where Kenny lives and becomes the protagonist for the third season (although I really do think that Kenny would be broken beyond prepare if he had to deal with the loss of his son, wife, Sarita, AND Clem!).

It really just depends, the virus in this series, assumedly, has to spread through the blood stream, AJ cuts her leg off pretty fast after she gets bit so it holds up, there are other characters who have cutten off limbs fast enough and survived

Leaving AJ behind? That is crazy! AJ at least has body heat to share with Clem to prolong her own life. You do not leave behind a source of body heat. You know I remember a story about 3 mountain climbers. 1 gets injured and the other 2 have to care him down the mountain in a very bad storm. 1 of the mountain climbers abandons the injured comrade and goes on alone. He is found dead but the other 2 manage to survive. How you ask when the climber who was alone died? The climber who wouldn't abandon his injured friend was exchanging body heat while carrying his friend and while the injured climber was giving off body heat as well. The climber who was alone died b/c he had no source of body heat to hug as he moved forward.

Clem was originally gonna end up alone with AJ regardless of your choices, Jane didn't exist, Kenny was gonna be the primary antagonist, and Luke was gonna get bitten, so i guess Clem would've had the choice of either leaving AJ to die or freeze to death to protect him. The episode title makes sense in that case, it is better to be dead than alive.

it’s crazy because the walking dead only means so much to me because i’ve grown up with it, y’know? i was around seven or eight when season 1 came out.. i had been obsessed with watching games on my kindle. when it had first began i was the same age as clem which made me SO happy like, literally, it was concerning. i’m pretty sure i bragged about it 😭. when season two came out, clem was older. which sucked major balls cause i was only like 9 at the time, and i couldn’t brag about being the same age! by the third season, i think i was 10. i didn’t know it had came out, just rumors, but i never liked the idea of not playing my favorite character, y’know? i put it off until about last year- i finished it around when the LAST season dropped. definitely a heart breaker, i cried in the bathroom on the last ep. i’ve never been MORE attached to a character. twas a cool few years, man. love this game forever no cap

Season 2’s ending(s) and just episodes 4 and 5 always felt unfinished and were changed drastically.

Imagine if this would be actually scripted path for Clementine.. instead of cutted ending Like game would have endings Kill Kenny/Save Jane Save Kenny/Kill Jane Leave Kenny/Go With Kenny Leave Jane/Go with Jane And Let Clementine die And there would be an option in EP3 to not take jacket from Bonnie, And if when Luke was dying Clementine choice was to go for him without jacket She would be cold as fuck After gunshot and fight Jane vs Kenny which would result in worst ending possible in real game (Kenny kills Jane, Clementine kills Kenny) she would just freeze... slowly seeing similar person, far away as death would be getting close Lee

Maybe an idea that you could do for a video is the Top Three Characters from each season other than the playable characters (Lee, Clementine, AJ, Javier)
