I’m a freshman at NC State and am so happy I got to go to the game. The student section was electric for almost the entire game and we obviously got to rush the field which was pretty sick as anyone would expect. I also realize how lucky I am to not only experience what I experienced, but to do so as a freshman. On the bus ride back to the campus, a senior was telling me how the fans haven’t been able to rush the field in all of her four years at State and I’m assuming it’s even been more than 4 years since the last time it’s happened. Anyway, enough about me and my experience. The Wolfpack looked really good out there and I’m hoping they can keep that energy going for the rest of the season. It’s also great to see Clemson (and particularly Dabo) well outside the top 10. Go Wolfpack!!!

Just got back from this game to my hotel before I fly back home tomorrow as I flew in to see in person, my first in person NCSU game at home since I graduated years ago and this was a NAIL-BITER! My poor heart during this game. Regardless, we pulled out the W and I cannot be anymore happy for all fans and the alumni and students like myself as an alum! They even got to rush the field, something I never got to do as a student despite us winning big games in my time too! There wasn’t enough officers or security personnel to stop the energy and the reckoning of the home crowd tonight! Go PACK!

Went to this game myself, weather was perfect and GOD it was insane, by the time the game ended my dad, who I have rarely seen this ecstatic over anything was literally jumping for joy, and he used to route for Clemson over any other College team years ago! Fun facts: NC State had a combined 2 sacks over their first 3 games (USF, Miss St., Furman) and got 2 sacks in this game. NC State had more first downs than DJ had pass attempts (31 vs. 26). NC State had the ball over twice as long as Clemson (42:07 vs 17:54). NC State seems to struggle with field goal kicking against Clemson. In 2016 at Clemson, Kyle Bambard went 1/4 including missing a short potential game winning field goal at the end of regulation. In 2017, Kyle Bambard was 1/1 while Carson Wise was 0/1 in a game that ended 38-31. No field goals were attempted in the blowout in 2018. Christopher Dunn was 1/1 in a blowout in 2019. The two teams didn’t play in 2020. And last night, Christopher Dunn was 0/3 including missing the potential game winning field goal at the end of regulation. Taking that, over the last five games in the series, NC State kickers are 2/10 on field goals against Clemson. As for extra points, they are 11/11. As a diehard Alabama fan a lot of people keep criticizing Clemson's QB DJ. I have been watching him and Bryce Young play since high school. Both are outstanding QBs along with having good character. Anyone that knows anything about football will tell you if a QB don't have a good OL to protect him or allow enough time to complete a pass it throws off his rhythm and makes the QB look bad. Clemson can change QBs but the result will be the same. Fix the OL and you fix the problem. I am quite sure after todays loss that Coach Dabo will make some changes to the OL to turn the season around.

That’s their primary problem. Clemson’s average recruiting ranking over the past 5 cycles (because of the super seniors) is 12.7 This means over the course of 4 recruiting cycles they end up with waaaay too many former 3 star guys playing big roles and Clemson depending on them in order to win. This is easy to see on the O line.

Nc state congrats, you guys would've deserved this win even if you lost. Now is the time for us fans to ride again like the old Clemson days. I think he’ll develop much more over the years, but he was not good yesterday. Clemson had 2 TD drives in regulation where they accumulated 160 yards. They accumulated under 30 yards on all other drives. Some of that was on his receivers dropping passes, but a good portion of that was also bad throws and holding on to the ball too long.

The defense was OUTSTANDING even without Payton Wilson WHO WASN'T EVEN MENTIONED AS BEING INJURED OR EVEN TALKED ABOUT IN THE ENTIRE GAME EVEN THOUGH THEY CONSTANTLY TALKED ABOUT CLEMSON'S INJURIES! Payton Wilson is arguably the best linebacker in the ACC. He'd chase a guy 40 yards across the field laterally and make the tackle. Isaiah Moore is a BEAST also though and the LB core is tough. I feel really bad for Christopher Dunn, but I bet he's the happiest guy in the world that State won the game because he is like 81.8% career-wise in FGs and he missed 3 including the game winner at the end of regulation. He would've had his missed kick all across media platforms playing every hour and he'd have lost the game for the team essentially. We seem to have kicking problems against Clemson, but WHO CARES?? WE WON TODAY! AND unc is losing 35-22 to GT and GT is on 3rd and goal with 5 minutes left. The football gods have been good to us today!

Win or lose. Clemson will always be my team. People need to remember that college football is never guaranteed. Alabama has lost to some terrible teams before too. This was a double overtime game with many bad calls on both sides. Injuries and bad play calling on both sides. I give NC state credit they played better than they should have but I think it's time to move on to other things or hope to make the acc title and some chaos but more than likely our season is over.
